Reviews For Lily's Charm: The Gift
Oh Severus, still so insecure. Doesn't he see that Harry's pretty much well-acquainted with the worst side of him by now, and still wants to be his son? Will he ever recognize all the good that Harry sees in him too? Another amazing chapter. You write family so well. The joy and beauty and strength of love, but also the pain and hurt and vulnerability. I also loved that moment when Harry and Severus meet each other in the hallway after Harry's outburst of anger in the potions lab... and Harry's thinking about something more meaningful to say than "I'm going to the loo"... and you can tell Severus is trying to think of something more meaningful to say too, but can only think of, "I'm going to the lab." In some key respects they're so similar, and that's including their insecurities about being loved and accepted. Hugs for both of them. I'm so glad it was made clear to Remus, too, that he's the honorary godfather. Maybe that will give him a confidence boost when it comes to reconciling with Tonks (you will have them reconcile, right? Please?) Can't wait for the next chapter - how things will work out with Sirius, whether Remus and Tonks will start desperately snogging, and where Harry will choose to go on a holiday.
Loved Remus' confessing of his worries about his place in Harry's affection!
Author's Response: YAY! I'm so glad you liked it. It was one my favorites to write....well maybe the last three. Thanks for reviewing! :o)
Author's Response: Thank you, Crystal. :o)
I can't wait for the next update. I really hope that Harry and Severus can really finally just be father and son. Yes, they definitely do need a holiday! Can't wait for the Tonks and Reums confrontation, and the Sirius, Harry, Severus confronataion. Oh my!! Let's just say that I can't wait to read the next chapter!!!! Author's Response: Thanks Pandora! LOL I forget it's a story al the time. Especially, when Harry and Sev force me to do things I never planned to do. LOL
Great chapter. Hopefully, a holiday away from everyone and everything will get these two to talk about love and forgiveness. Author's Response: Maybe they can go back in time and get his opinion. LOL Oh well, guess they'll just have to make do.
I feel badly for Severus because he is very remorseful about the past. I'd venture to say that he's tormented by it, when he lets himself dwell on how he mistreated Harry and on how his action allowed Harry to be mistreated by others. But I really feel the worst for Harry here. He loves both Sirius and Severus, and though of course Severus comes first, he still feels torn between them, plus Sirius just threw all the lingering resentments and doubts that he'd buried into his face, and now he and Severus are going to have to face them...though that's really the best thing for them in the long run, I'm sure. Well, anyway, fantastic chapter and I'm so eager for more!
I knew Harry would have some sort blow out due to all this supressed anger he's been pushing aside. But, wow. Poor, poor, Sirius. His realization of all the changes around him has been so painful. You've done a fabulous job of showing the commitment and love that Sev and Harry have for each other. Their relationship and the trials they face are what bring me back to this story. I hope Sev can help Harry and Sirius rebuild their relationship. I also hope that you intend to shed some light onto the Remus/Tonks relationship. What's going on there?! Glad you're back!
