Reviews For The Heir to Prince Manor
Author's Response: Honestly, I don't drink, or I only have one to two drinks socially, so I'm no expert on hangovers. But I had a roommate that drank herself senseless nearly every night when I was a freshman in college, and some days she was sick as a dog, and other times she was sick for a few hours and then was fine. I have no idea why that was so, but I decided to give poor Harry a break and make him react to the summerdew in that manner, because after being flayed to ribbons by Severus, it'd be awful for him to be sick all day. Plus the humiliation of puking right in front of his father is potent enough along with the lecture to make sure he never drinks to excess again.
And your description of him, likening him to the Angel of Death is right on, too! Author's Response: Thanks, I've always pictured Snape as a dark figure, the avenging angel, who comes with fire to cast down the wicked, and it's poetic justice really, since the Dursleys got away with child abuse in the books, in my opinion and they were never made to pay for what they did. I'm a former preschool teacher and child abusers rank right up there with mass murderers and rapists in my book and calling the Dursleys to account here was just my way of balancing the scales.
Author's Response: Yes, he certainly is! And as for Harry's grades . . .you'll find out what they were and his father's reaction in the next chapter.
Author's Response: No, it doesn't, and Harry will soon learn that Severus expcets him to do well in school, though there are certain classes that he excels at, like Defense and Transfiguration and in most others he does well, when he cares to apply himself.
Author's Response: Thanks, Amy!
Author's Response: yes, he does, though it is hard for him to comprehend that given his background.
Author's Response: All right and thanks so much, I'm happy you like it! There will be a lot more going on at the manor and some harrowing adventures for the three before this is done! I figured I had to do something with time to let the three bond the way they needed to, otherwise it would seem too rushed and that's not what I wanted.
Author's Response: You'll see! heheh!
Author's Response: Thanks and you'll be seeing what else is in store for our three favorite heroes soon!
May I /please/ kill Tobias and Micah? How /dare/ they treat Severus Snape in such a way?! If I was there... someone would most definitely die and it would not be Severus - oops, my apoglogies, Sev. It was a chapter well worth the read, my dear. I cannot wait to meet Sarai - she seems interesting and I have the feeling she'll remind me of Lily in some way. (I can't write Lily at all.) Update soon, darling, I'm looking for more, as always! Love, Jewels. ;) Author's Response: You're not the only one who wants to kill them. *Grrr* I felt like unleashing a manticore on them myself. As for Sarai, she'll be arriving in two chapters and she is a little like Lily, but also very much her own unique person. |
