    oh i hope the shimmerling and harry have some kind of bond. it sounds very cute.

    did harry and draco win anymore cards in their game like last time or was that just a treat?

    still loving the story.

    Author's Response: The shimmerling is there to help Harry as you'll see as the story goes on.  it plays an important role.  As for the card game, I'd say the IOU's were a special thing and they just won sweets this time. Myabe I ought to put that in there though.  Thanks!

    There are times when I wonder if you've a medical background, since you write the healing scenes so very very well. I can hear,see, and feel it all! Excellent job, please write some more soon!

    Author's Response: No, I'm not a doctor or a nurse, though I did work in a doctor's office for 4 years and my sister is one so she helps me with the medical stuff if I ask her.  So glad you like this!

    Two updates in one day! I love it! The way you describe the medical procedures is amazing, I can see it happening! And the shimmerling intrigues me. Will we learn more about it? I hope so!

    Great chapter! I loved how detailed you were, it was very realistic which I can appreciate since I'm a doctor! Can't wait to see what else happens!

    Author's Response: Thank you, so glad you liked it, I try very hard to inject a realisitc approach into my fiction, since it makes it more believable.

    Author's Response: Yes, I did.  I was inspired by a book I saw at B& N called Fairy Foals, it was a book all about mini fairy horses with wings.  So I thought, well if they have horses, how about cats? And thus the shimmerling was born.

    OOC, inconsistent characterizations and way-too-fast changes of character.

    Author's Response: Please remember this is an AU fic, which means characters do NOT follow canon behavior.  That said, there are reasons for Petunia (I'm assuming you mean she's OOC) behaving towards Harry and Sev the way that she does, they are detailed in the next chapter.  If you mean Snape is acting OOC, also remember this is summer before GOF and there is none of the bitterness and hate between him and Harry that there is in later books like Phoenix and Hal-Blood Prince.  Plus, this is his son, and though he doesn't like Petunia, she would have no reason to lie to him about that, since having Harry in her home is a trial for her.  At the end of book 3 Snape protected Harry, Ron, and Hermione from a werewolf at the risk of his own life, I cannot imagine him just standing and watching while a fat abusive Muggle beat his son, especially given his history.
