Reviews For The Heir to Prince Manor
Author's Response: Yes. Severus can be very sneaky and clever! The boys sure aren't up to his level yet. It seemed like a nap was a good reward, considering all of the work they'd just done. Hope you enjoy the next one!
Author's Response: Thanks, Amy! You made my day! *hugs and chocolate frogs*
Forgive me for my short review but 1) I'm tired and 2) I have to finish writing chapter 3 of Breaking Dawn. I take my leave for now. Yours, Lady Jewels Snape. ::waggles fingers:: Toodles. Author's Response: *smirks* Thought you might like it! :) And Draco's loving it, of course! Like a typical teenager....anytime they can sleep...it's like they've won the lottery. Actually, that's what my 16 year ood nephew said to me one day, "If I ever win the lottery, I 'll be so glad because I won't have to work and I can sleep all day long." LOL! So take Sev's advice.....Julie...and take a nap! After you finish your chapter of course, I'll have to read it when I've got time. I'm insane when I work on a fic, I work until I drop...once I fell asleep with my head on the keyboard. LOL! Bye! Snapegirl
Author's Response: Great, I had hoped it would be interesting to go back and see their pasts and not boring. I feel that each of them has things they need to live down and also live up to, and lessons they can teach each other. For that's what a family does, teaches and learns from each other.
They are coming along nicely. Author's Response: Ohh, yes! I remember when I was a kid, my parents had Saturdays set out for us as clean the house and the backyard each week, and we really DID clean the whole house, from top to bottom and then we went outside and raked the leaves or mowed the lawn and swept the patio and cleaned up after the dogs. I can remember thinking how unfair it was, because none of my friends had to do that, but now that I look back, I can thank my parents for showing me the value of a job well done and how to finish what I start. Chores are important for a child, which is why I have Severus using them both as punishment and as a teaching tool. I think Draco benefits the most from them, however, since he was never made to do any growing up. But Harry understands his dad's reasoning as well, and Draco can learn from his example. And it's nice to see them acting like brothers instead of trying to kill each other, huh?
Author's Response: Thanks. I'd hoped people would like to see Harry's perspective and Draco's response to it.
Author's Response: Actually, neither was I, until i started writing this story, and decided to portray him in a different light. Glad you're liking this and you can read about Harry's past right now, since I've just posted the next chapter!
Updtae soon! Author's Response: Yeah, at least he's got Severus, who loves him and I'm really glad you thought the boys crashing into Sev was funny, because I laughed when I wrote it! Oh yeah, I've updated!
The race was a classic father/sons bonding moment, I laughed myself off my chair, because I could just SEE that happening...LOL! :) What a wonderful story this is! Author's Response: Aww, I think you're an awesome reviewer and I didn't realize that no one's ever done this for Draco before, i thought the Draco shippers would've done this a million times before. I felt he needed some sympathy too, since most of the time he's portrayed as the nasty spoiled brat. And the race was a great bonding opportunity.
Author's Response: it's a first for me too, since my normal portrayal of Draco is as an evil character, like his father Lucius. But I'm enjoying writing this from a different perspective and now I actually am fond of the brat. |
