    Does Dumbledore ever think of anyone other than pawns, does he ever think of the individual. Sev should go with Harry, stay with him. Forget about the Order and Dumbledore. Sev almost died, he barely got away and now Dumbledore wants him to go back - will he only release Sev when he's dead - he's doing the same to Harry. The only way Harry should go back to his aunt and uncle is if Sev is with him - even with the changes. It might do a world of good for Dudley if Sev goes back, but Petunia needs to take charge of that household without Sev being there. Sev may not need to “kidnap” Harry from his aunt and uncle as Petunia will allow him to go with Sev willingly and will actually help them, but Sev needs to kidnap him away from the Order’s influence
    Maybe they could hide out in the Chamber of Secrets or some Secret unplotable manor, but Harry and Sev need some father/son bonding time to get to really know one another without meddlesome old coots and order members

    Author's Response: I agree and don't worry, Sev will find a way to take harry away and make sure his son is not used as a pawn in DD chess game with Voldemort.  And at this place they will finally bond as father and son.

    That is absolutely disgusting that Dumbledore would send him back with only an anti-abuse spell to help him. I look forward to reading more of your story.

    This is a very original version of a severitus! I like it very much - honestely can't get enough of those... I really like your way of dealing with the Dursleys! Now I'm looking forward to the meeting with Dumbledore - somehow I think he wont like the new developments even though Snape's not a spy anymore and at least that problem is solved in regard to him being Harry's father... Anyway, I'm expectant of the way you'll have the relationship between father and son develope! Keep up the good work - I enjoyed it quite a lot!

    Author's Response: Thanks and I shall be posting a new chapter soon.  I also have another severitus series posted here called Hide Yourself Away and it has some very different things going on in it.  If you want to read that while you're waiting for me to post chapters on this one feel free.  Oh and then there's the Never Again series on here as well, with Severus adopting Harry and in that universe he is a Healer/Potions Master and Harry is 6 and has to go and live with his grandfather Tobias because Sev is in a coma.  I'm working on the sequel to that one now as well.

    Snape spanking Vernon LOL that was just too funny, but if anybody deseved a sound spanking it is Vernon (Dudley next in line I understand Snape not doing it but Petunia would) LOL. I'm glad that Petunia is finally standing up to Dudley and making him do chores. Still have to see her stand up to Vernon, and if she can handle things once Snape is gone.

    Author's Response: Ah, now that is the big question, what will happen once Severus is no longer around to referee here?  Vernon is going to be PO'd beyond belief, but Severus has a few things up his sleeve that will ensure Vernon doesn't go back to his wicked ways. And yes, Snape spanking Vernon was the BEST! Dudley's in for a rude awakening too from his mum!

    I think your Harry is just right. I mean, this is soon after he practically throws himself at Sirius, whom he'd just met and knew nothing about, so it makes sense that he'd be accepting when someone he disliked turned out to be his father. Both, after all, offered to take him from the Dursleys. I think that's the way to Harry's heart. LOL

    This is turning into a really great story.

    When I wrote that line, I could just picture Ron screaming that as he was reading Harry's letter. LOL.

    I'm glad you like my portrayal of Harry here, I was a bit worried that maybe their relationship was progressing too fast, but it's not like he's jumping into Snapes arms and crying "Oh Daddy! I finally have a father! It's what I always dreamed of!" kind of thing.  Harry is still unsure of Severus and hesitant at this stage and Sev is still trying to come to grips with the fact that now he's the parent of . . .Merlin help him . . .Harry Potter! Arggh!  But he's trying and somehow they will eventually work everything out, because I am a firm believer in happy endings.  Always.

    Fantastic chapter!!! It was a little mean spirited, but the Dursley's deserved the payback. Do you think that it opened their eyes to how they treated their nephew and cousin? Maybe Dudley will be acting better now after this experience. I hope that Petunia will be okay after SNape and Harry leave. Wouldn't Vernon want to exercise his control once he can? The closest target is Petunia. It's a little scary.

    I love how nicely Snape and Harry are getting along, and Harry is even thinking of his real father fondly. Lovely. Thank you for the update!!!

    Author's Response: In Dudley's case it may have, but Vernon is another story.  He will want to regain control over Petunia, but Sev has a little surprise prepared for him that he won't like at all and it will prevent him from harming Petunia.  And Harry and Severus's relationship will gradually improve as the story progresses until they are having a normal father-son relationship.
