    Very good start! I liked Severus' reluctance to acknowledge Harry might be abused, and that he was willing to set aside his prejudices anyway because Harry is in his House now. You mentioned he'd been refusing to admit for years that Harry might not have a perfect home life; that makes me wonder if there were signs he ignored, and how Harry would react if there were. I'm also quite curious to see how Severus will deal with Harry blaming himself for the death of a man he loved, but Severus hates.

    As for Ginny--if it's not one of the male Weasleys abusing her, or her mother, my first guess would be Peter Pettigrew and my second would be Tom Riddle during the year he possessed her.

    Author's Response: Oh, there were signs that Snape ignored, and Harry will have quite the response when he finds out. I don't believe Snape would automatically start caring about Harry, but I think it's enough that he wouldn't be able to turn a blind eye, and would have to at least accept that there's more to Harry than he ever believed.     This is really intresting! Mrs. Weasly as a cold-hearted bitch, who would have thought?
    I'm very much looking forward to your portrayals of Ginny's and Harry's pasts, and what kind of personality Prof. Snape will have? How easily will he change his views of Harry?
