Your banner is awesome cool.
Author's Response: I can assure you that I have no intentions of stopping the fic before it's finished. lol Idk how long it's going to be yet, but I do promise to finish. And the plot moves quite a bit in the next chapter. Thanks so much for reviewing! - August Sky
Thanks so much for the update, I practically squealed when I saw you'd updated. Can't wait for the next chapter, I hope it's soon! -Elise Author's Response: Hahaha. Thanks so much! - August Sky
Well, Snape knows about Harry's injuries and scars now. Will he find out it was Molly who caused the most recent injuries? Don't suppose it will be too difficult to work out when he finds out Harry was staying with the Weasley's most recently. Still don't think that Snape's own history as an abused child into self destructive behaviour makes him a suitable candidate to look after abused children. And i forget another possible scenario with my first review. Please don't tell us that Ginny ends up with Malfoy. A pairing I can't stand. Onto chapter 3 ~Lesley~ Author's Response: 'Apperception' means 'the process of understanding by which newly observed qualities of an object are related to past experience.' For this chapter, it refers to Snape realising that his ideas about Harry were wrong all along. And no, I can guarentee you that Ginny and Malfoy don't end up together. lol Not a favorite pairing of mine, either. Thanks so much - August Sky.
And as for abused children having a specific house...are all abused children full of cunning and guile? Why can't they be brave and chivalrous, or clever or all of the above to be sorted into other houses. And it defies belief that Severus Snape could be put in charge of abused children when he is quite happy to abuse any children (psychologically anyway) who are not in his house. He can feel empathy for Slytherins, but hatred for all the other kids in the school. But I sincerely hope that Harry and Malfoy aren't going to end up best friends and I just know Ron is now going to hate Harry for being a Slytherin. Curious to see where you're going though. You write well, BTW. Sorry for all the negativity. Author's Response: Haha, don't appologise for constructive criticism, I don't mind it at all! And let me say first, that I also hate sadistic Molly Weasley. It was done intentionally though, as a major part of the plot line that won't show up until a little later in the story. Also, I agree that abused children can have other qualities. No one can doubt that Harry is brave, and he was originallly sorted into Gryffindor, for example. However, many abused children are incredibly cunning and can misdirect people unbelieveably well. Otherwise, I can just say that's it is an AU story, and not everything will follow canon 100%. I do try, with my characterizations and such, though. As to Draco and Harry, and Ron's reaction, I can't really give anything away, but it will be coming soon! Thanks for reviewing! - August Sky |
