Reviews For Where Shadows Go
Author's Response: Aww!
As for kids, I don't have any yet, but I did baby-sit a kid who had just turned 3. His potty training had been finished but he needed help with his pants. When he was finished, he completely took off his pants and underwear and made a dash for the door. That wouldn't have been too big of a problem except we were at the doctor's office his parents owned. His father, to make matter worse, is a proctologist. I latched the door and told him I was counting to ten and if he didn't come over to me with his pants so I could put them on, I was going to have the person who was close to the bathroom and was working go and get his mother. He watched me with big eyes as I counted. I got to ten and went to the door. He couldn't get over fast enough. About a week later he tried to pull it again. I got to 3. Author's Response: Wow, glad my nephew never tried anything like that, but that is really funny! Actually one of my sisters is a doctor and her son came to her office one time and had to get a tetanus shot and ended up screaming "I hate you mom!" so loud everyone in the office heard it. Talk about embarrassing.
Author's Response: Thanks, glad you're enjoying this!
Author's Response: Oh man, now that's a new one! Once my niece overflowed the bathtub by adding too much bubble bath, LOL! rnrnThey've learned their lesson, at least Sev hopes so, LOL!
i had to smile at harry playing healer, he did a great job Author's Response: Yes, he takes after his dad. But at least Sev could watch Harry open his gifts and enjoy his first Christmas in their new home.
Author's Response: True and that's why Lily thought of it. Their kitchen will be much prettier.
Author's Response: No, she sure didn't know how to deal with a very cranky insistant toddler, LOL!
Poor Harry though, he just wants pretty walls! Please update soon, because I'm dying to know who gets sick. I thought of Harry, but now I'm thinking Sev! Grumpy Sev! Hee hee! Oh, and Lily, what a good Mom. We always second guess ourselves, don't we? Ah...the joys of parenthood! :) Author's Response: Yeah, he's a real piece of work! It's such fun to write him like this too. brings back memories of my little nephews, who were like devils incarnate on occasion. rnrnI've already updated the next chapter, so you can see who is sick and what happens after that with Neville and Harry too. And there's a new short fic to this novel as well that I just posted too.
Oh, and just as an FYI -- I marked 'Favorite Story' and 'Favorite Author.' I hope that will cause me to get alerts. I'll cross my fingers. Thank you again for letting me know about the new chapter. I'm still thinking about Harry's eye exam. I wish Sevvie could have done my first exam. I was five, and the eye doctor left a LOT to be desired. LOL As always -- I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Thank you. Author's Response: I guess kids are all alike, it's fascinating to play with the toilet. At least that's how the pediatrician explained it to my sister when she asked why her son kept doing that. rnrnI wish I could have Sev examine my eyes too. I was two when I got my first pair of bifocals and I hated them. I used to take them off and hide them, drove my mom crazy and all my sisters too, because then they had to find where I put them, LOL! But now I'm so used to them I can fall asleep with them on, and sometimes do.rnrnFYI, I've just posted a short companion piece to Shadows, called Mother's Day here.
Great job! I also liked how Lily compared Harry's reaction to James', showing how different the two are personality wise. Author's Response: Oh boy! Sounds like you had an imp too! But you survived, right?rnrnGlad you liked this one and the comparison between Harry and his real dad. |
