    Oh italy sounds beautiful! I wish i could go there! What a lovely time they had and I feel bad for Severus, carrying that great burden. But at least Lily can help him.

    Oh those Dursleys are awful! I'd kick them right into the street! I'm glad Lily smakced Petunia, I'd have done the same. Who needs them?

    My gawd I wanted to just smack all the Dursleys! What horrible people! You wrote them perfectly lol
    I'm glad that Lily slapped her sister it must have fely really good for her after she hit poor little Harry : )

    Author's Response: So did I, I really hate them.  They're like the worst kind of relatives.  It did feel really good for Lily to smack her sister one.

    *snort* My parents would have spanked Petunia *and* Dudley. My baby brother is 6'5, and his then-girlfriend was shocked when my mom came to retrieve him when he should have been studying for a college exam instead of hanging out with her, grabbed him by the ear, and hauled him out to the car. My parents swear that their kids are never too old for a telling-off or even a spanking when they need it!

    Author's Response: Sounds very similar to my parents, LOL! But at least the Dursleys won't be bothering Lily and Sev or Harry anytime soon. And if they spanked Dudley and Petunia, they should've also spanked Vernon, yes? :D

    Wow. The Dursleys were horrible! I can see them acting like that right down to Vernon falling asleep in front of the TV. I'm glad Hal threw them out even though I know it would be hard. I could imagine Vi going to confront Petunia to try and convince her to get rid of her prejudices and discipline her son. Thanks for the quick update. I can't wait to read more!

    Author's Response: Yes, Vi will have another talk with her daughter, but it really won't change anything.  Some people are simply prejudiced and nothing anyone will say can change their minds.  I see Vernon and Petunia being like that, after all she grew up with Lily and knows that magic isn't evil and she still persists on saying Severus is unnatural and so is Harry.  Hal did the right thing, even though he wishes he didn't have to.  But they DO deserve it.

    I think this undestanding lovely Lily is how JKR always wanted us to see Lily. Only she never showed her that way. You did.
    I like to see Severus happy :)

    I like to see Severus happy too.  And I agree with you about JKR's Lily, but the only way she ever portryaed her was as a mother sacrificing herself for her son (a good image) and as an unforgiving teenager in DH when she refused to let Severus apologize to her or even explain why he had reacted the way he did when she defended him from the Marauders.  I expected so much more from her than that in the books and I was disappointed.  So when I chose to write her story, i made her into the woman she ought to have been, IMO.

    Look for a new chapter in about five minutes, okay? :)
