If it were not for the fact that I'm at work, I'd be bawling my eyes out. The little touch with Lily at the very end was beautiful and poetic; Severus deserves the love of a woman but I'm in no mood to share him in this story. Alas! Severus is suffereing through what every parent does when a child leaves home - what will he do when Harry decides it really /is/ time to move out? I greatly enjoyed Sev's sense of humor and it's nice to know that he has one. I am thrilled that Harry's dark angel will continue to protect and guide and love him... as only a father can. I am still very eagerly looking forward to the sequel. And, of course, Wraith and Whisper fuzziness. Keep writing and keep smiling! Always yours, Jewels. Author's Response: Lord only knows how Severus will deal with that, but that's at least five years away so he has time to reconcile himself. I had to put Lily in there somehow, since she was the one who started it all. yes, Sev has a sense of humor, he just keeps it hidden. But on rare occasions, he lets it out to play. Harry will really need Severus as the years go on and there will be more opportunities for them to bond as father and son, in snow leopard form and out of it. Thanks as always, Jewels!
There must be a logical reason why I have never read this chapter before... Only, I can't think of it. Kathy. Oh. My. God. You think Severus would have died from a heart attack? WHAT ABOUT ME? I could feel every wingbeat, every drop of sweat, every ounce and last reserve of courage those two needed. I was about ready to die when I read the crowd screaming for Wind Dancer! And Quicksilver... the arrogant pony needed to be taken down a notch. Good for you, Boreal! Hermione was a brilliant twist. Now you really can't change the fact that it's going to be a Harry/Hermione ficlet because 1) they're meant to be that way and 2) I'll hunt you down myself if you do. Now. How will the wizarding world react to the world's youngest Skybolt Champion? How will Malfoy deal with it? And how in Merlin's name will Dumbles react to a Silver Arrow? Speaking of which... You /are/ going to write the sequel once you finish Two Hawks Hunting and Return to Prince Manor right? Keep smiling and keep writing! Always yours, Jewels. Author's Response: Well, the wizarding world thinks it's great to have such a young boy become the next champion. As for the rest, you'll have to wait till the sequel to find out! Have you read the chapter in RPM where Phil and Smidgen punish Pansy for hexing Draco? Don't remember if I got a review from you for that. It's called Hell Hath No Fury Like A Snape.
I have a question. How can Dumbledore expect Severus to spy on him when Voldemort knows that Severus is a traitor? Author's Response: Because Dumbledore thinks Voldemort is dead, and still wants to gather information on the remaining Death eaters. They don't know he's a traitor and Dumbledore doesn't know about Voldy's plans to resurrect himself, since Harry didn't tell him about what James said when he was on the stairway to heaven. Dumbledore hates to lose his premiere spy and so he'll do whatever he has to in order to keep Sev in that capacity.

Author's Response: Thank you! I really liked writing this one because it gave me a chance to shift back and forth from different POV's and perspectives, showing different sides of Severus. I wanted it to be that way in the beginning, because then there wouldn't be any of the usual now I need to set aside differences and trust Snape bit. He already trusted Severus and Severus already wanted to guard and protect him and love him as well. Hope you enjoy the rest.
