    Brilliant! I especially liked the part when Harry got back and Ron was waiting up for him and the talk following. Ron's a good friend. The other part I really liked was when Harry was trying to fall asleep and had a hard time because of all his roommates. I can relate to that one, in college and med school, your roommate was always the one partying or snoring her head off while you were either trying to sleep or trying to study and oh it was sooo annoying!!

    I loved the trophy and the "detention" as well. I hope Harry tells Sev about his scar hurting.

    Author's Response: Funny, I can remember the same thing about my roommate when i went to college and it was really hard to fall asleep that first night and in fact the whole week! As for Harry telling Sev about his scar, you'll see.

    Another excellent chapter. Looking forward to more. So the Slytherin head of house is going to give a flying lesson to the Gryffindor seeker? What is this world coming to?

    Author's Response: It is very odd, isn't it? However, Severus is very annoyed at McGonagall for putting Harry on her team and wants to keep him as safe as possible, which means teaching him how to fly better.  Snape could give a damn about Quidditch, Harry is his first priority.

    Beautifully done. I like how Harry gets a creepy feeling with Quirrell and how he compares Quirrell's class to Severus's. And the bit with the trophy room and Snape giving Harry detention was excellent too. Oh and I liked the way Ron and Harry discussed the Dursleys and how Ron pointed out that what they were doing to Harry was wrong.

    Thanks and there is a world of difference between the two classes.   Harry of course would never think that doing all those chores was really wrong since he'd grown up that way, but Ron gets bonus points for pointing it out.

    I loved reading Ron ask Harry about his home life, the friendship scenes sometimes make the chapter themselves. It was nice to see Ron being a friend, it made me smile, lol. I like this story, it follows the cannon of the first book mostly but it's still interesting. Others have tried and once you've read about it before, you don't want to read it again and again. You managed to make it interesting, thanks for that. I like you're Harry, he seems a bit different then JKR's but I think I like your's better. About how many times has Snape had to take care of Harry because he was sick? Sorry if this was in the first chapter. I can't remember if it was mentioned.

    I agree, I love the developing relationship between friends and/or parents and children or sister and brothers, they're so important to a good storyline, and I try and stress them whenever possible.  I'm glad you like my little plot twists, I try and make them interesting, because who wants to read the same thing over and over.  My harry would be a bit different than JKR's because he had something hers never did, Snape to care and comfort him when he desperately needed it.  That makes a big difference. 

    How many times was Harry sick or injured while living with the Dursleys? Quite a bit, actually, since Dudley was forever beating him up or one of his gang was.  Remember the Harry Hunting game they used to play? Horrid little monsters! And he's been sick with all the various childhood ailments, you'll find out more about some of those occasions as the story progresses and haryr recalsl them or he and Sev discuss them.  I only covered two or three occasions in the first chapter however. 

    You'll find out what happens in the next chapter soon, it's being written.  I'm going to add in a lot of different things as well, since my muse has so dictated to me that this should be another novel.  How's that?

    I'm glad Sev told Harry what was going on, it would have been too cruel to keep him in suspense that way. Great job here and I'm looking forward to the next part.

    I know that Sev will continue to be an angel for Harry while at Hogwarts. Maybe he could set up something so Madam Pomphrey could give Harry a check up or he could do it himself so they could discover things like him wearing the wrong glasses etc. Would like to see Sev "anonymously" sending Harry decent clothes to wear (for outside school hours) as all Harry would have is his school clothes (Hagrid did not let him buy anything that was not on the school list). I am glad that Harry told Sev about discovering his identity because now they could develop a really great relationship.

    Author's Response: Yes, Severus will eventually discover that Harry needs better glasses and he could also send him clothes as well.  Their relationship will continue to grow secretly, of course, during the course of the year.
