What I meant by "grotesque" is that the narrative is so non-nonsense yet exagerrating every step through happenings and feelings yet again serious through the valid questions of common sense it poses against the canon. It's a compliment, honest ^^ And I love how everything clicks together - chemistry between _just everyone_ turns out awesomely. Many thanks for your effort and sharing it with us =3

Author's Response: Whew! Good to know that - and thank you again! Yes, I do like it "when a plan comes together" ;) I promise there will be more of that coming up soon. :)

“A deer? My dad was a deer? They don’t even have teeth!” haha, I laughed so hard!

Author's Response: LOL! I just can't imagine any 11 year old boy finding Bambi to be an impressive animagus form! ;) (Even a grown up Bambi)

And now, I've finally caught up to you writing, heh. Still a beautifully humorously hug-festy misunderstanding piece, and I'm in for the ride.

Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying and finding it both funny and huggable! :)

Reading your fic is like watching an avalanche happening - grotesque, overwhelming, but very, very fun.

    Author's Response: "Grotesque", eh? Hmmmmm....

A really great chapter! Usualy I dont like that skeeter woman but in this story its so funny!
Snape was quite lenient with Harry, I think he really was happy, that Harry
is o.K. Facing the Dark Lord!!
The end was a bit sad, hope the best for the two "boys".Ha ha

Author's Response: LOL! Glad you liked the headlines. :) They were a hoot to write!

Awe... so sweet at the end, Severus going on the "parents" tour with Harry, imagining what it would be like for it to be real! He just can't see how attached Harry is to him! I loved the conference with the parents also - Ron getting his special moments with his Mom and Dad were very sweet too!

    Loved this chapter!

    Author's Response:

LOL! I know - Snape is going to have to get with the program pretty soon and realize how much Harry adores him, but remember: in canon, Snape clung fiercely to his preconceptions despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. This Snape is going to be just as obstinate!

And yes, it was fun to see Ron as the center of the Weasley universe for a change, wasn't it?

I am so glad that your Harry had a reassuring talk about what he did to Quirrell. I never quite understand how canon Harry walked through his years trauma free with all the things he went through (and did!) Snape is GOOD DAD in this chapter, and I love it.

Author's Response: Snape really is a great parent, isn't he? And he gets extra points for all his efforts, too. :)  I know what you mean about canon Harry. In some ways he is too unaffected by what he sees and does, and in other ways, he is much too squeamish and traumatized by it... I tried in this AU to strike a balance between what is a normal 11 year old's reaction and what is the kind of outlook Snape must cultivate for Harry... Glad you're enjoying it. :)

What a breathtaking chapter!!! Your trio used cunning strategy, and basic first year magic to defeat the Dark Lord - I so loved it! Once again Hermione's muggle background comes into play (magic or no, guys will be guys will be guys!) The image of the faculty bursting into the hospital, with Flitwick flying above is also terrific.

I love how you have taken the canon and tweaked it in your own way!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I wanted to keep things "realistic" (or at least canon-based, since I guess the whole magical universe thing isn't exactly "realistic"), and I'm delighted to hear you feel I succeeded. Those mental images really work, don't they? :) Thank you so much for letting me know you're enjoying my AU!

On the whole I love this chapter. I love who HArry thinks Snape is too soft and Snape thinks he's too hard. LOL. Awesome. I do so hope tey come to an understanding soon, but even if they don't about anything, this story is awesome. Well done. Thank you for writing.

Author's Response: Ha ha ha! Those letters are always popular! Glad you also enjoyed the headlines from Skeeter. :)

Lol. I love this story so much. LAst chapter was GRIPPING!!! ok? Awesome work. I so love the way SNape defends his actions to himself, its so funny. I love the Snape-Harry interaction. Very well done. And at the end of this chapter, Dumbledore is pure evil. Lol.

Author's Response: Great! Glad you liked it. :) And yes, DD's "true colors" really do come out in this chapter don't they? LOL!! (BTW, Mystykyten has actually done some illustrations for the story, including these snapshots... Check them out at http://www.mystkyten.net/newhome.html)
