I read the first 28 chapters last week and loved them... you crack me up, voluavent.. I was so excited to see you posted three more. They are great! Can't wait to read more...
Author's Response: Thank you! I will try harder to post more regularly. :)
"It was only a Sticking hex, after all – even Potter could hardly get into trouble with something so benign." Hahaha - Famous Last Words!
Love the blend of humour and tenderness in this story. "Lord Vol-au-Vent" - priceless. And when you show the differences between Harry's and Snape's POV, as in the DiagonAlley section of this chapter, it's charming, funny and poignant all at once. So many comically huge misunderstandings at each moment, and yet they both GET each other at a deep level and so it all works.
Author's Response: Thank you! That "blend of humour and tenderness" is exactly what I'm aiming for, so it's wonderful to hear I've achieved it! :)

Hi there! I had enjoyed immensely your story until now, but whit this chapter, how Hermione made her reputation in the wizarding world, you have me sting forever :-). Well written, well characterization, and I love your Snape.
Author's Response: Thank you! What a lovely review!!! I'm really flattered and immensely pleased to hear how much you enjoyed it. :)
Haha, what a nice tantrum! Brilliantly written. Mila
Author's Response: So glad you liked it! Writing tantrums is harder than I thought! ;)
Wonder if Harry read any Hardy Boys when he was at Privet Drive?? I could see him thinking it would be great to solve a mystery, just like the Hardy brothers! He is quite the manipulator too, convincing Hermione to go along with the investigation.
I loved the shopping trip to Diagon Alley. Snape thinking it would be a form of punishment almost, and Harry thinking it means his guardian is giving him a huge treat! I almost hope they never figure out that their expectations are almost always at cross purposes!
Another great chapter!
Author's Response: Ha ha ha! Yes, that's just the mindset I was imagining. Harry Hardy! ;) And you're right - Harry's Slytherin side is really showing, isn't it? (I can't imagine why. LOL)
I really like your Snape! Mila
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm delighted to hear that! :)
Oh, the last paragraph gets me going everytime I read it!!! Such a great chapter - I love the details on Snape's machinations for the two Marauders, and hearing about the continued torment of the Dursley's. The scene at breakfast was priceless - and I really like how Hootch is still irritated at Severus and is still showing it!! I hope, hope, hope we get a chance to see a meeting of the Inter-House Friendship and Holiday Decorating Committee!
Author's Response: So glad you like the chapter! And yes, the Hooch-Snape interactions are a total blast to write!! :)
Even serving detention Harry seems to attract trouble!!! It is such a good thing he has good friends and a fearsome professor to look out after him. Your whole take on Quirrel menacing Harry at Quidditch was SUCH fun - I particularly like his (probably) involuntary catching of the snitch on his way down.
Hey, this means we are going to get another Gryffindor/Slytherin Quidditch match, with Harry as seeker, right?!?!
Author's Response: You are so right! No matter what he's doing, Harry is a trouble magnet. :)

This story never disappoints. The twist where Snape and Harry see things at cross purposes, but still end up at a place that meets both their needs is always entertaining (and I do like Snape's mental letters for help to magazines). Its an added bonus that the story progresses with chapters that are well thought out, very well written and a good length.
Author's Response: Thank you! What a nice thing to say. :) And yes, I do try hard to ensure that things are properly plotted and proofed. I figure if you are kind enough to take the time to read the story, it's the least I can do in return.
