Oh wow, Severus logical arguement against Lucius was not only absolutely brilliant, but it was also wonderfully portrayed. I still can't believe how absolutely hooked I am on this story, thank you so much for updating! Dumbledore's statement “I find that a brisk debate is an excellent way to start the morning" made me laugh out loud - that blase attitude towards serious matters is always what I love reading most about Dumbles, so amusing too! Keep writing :)

Wow - I've been enjoying the heck out of this fic from the start but this chapter was fantastic! I love how Snape manipulated Malfoy - his protectiveness and subsequent scheming was brilliant! Can't wait to see how this progresses...

I know DD is often seen as manipulative, but I always felt he was a little too passive and "hands off" especially with respect to helping position Harry for the eventual showdown. I think this chapter shows that things are going to be very different with Sev in charge! ;)
Another great chapter - my favorite part being the very last paragraph - "I'll make pact with Merlin himself or a demon from Hell if that's what it takes to protect the brat." This is what all of us Snape-learns-to-love-Harry fans look for! I also liked the appearance of Arthur Weasley - another good Dad!
