    I'm so hooked on this story, and I love the way you write both Harry and Shadow. I really hope that Sev and Harry's relationship continues to solidfy and they become more comfortable with each other with the passing of time.

    Author's Response: Why, thank you! I promise there will be more of Shadow as well next story, as well as the Harry/Snape pattern I'm using.

    Author's Response: Thank you! The Lily flashback took me by surprise, actually. When I first wrote it, it was so bad that Lily sounded like the worst kind of Mary-Sue, but I'm glad you think that it turned out well in the end! I did enjoy writing the Greensleeves bit!

    Yay Shadow's not dead but he in a very scary place. I hope Harry does save him. Shadow is so smart. Keep up the good work and please get that sequel up quick. :)

    Author's Response: Ah, but he is not as alone as he first thought... I'll get them back together, promise! So far, I've written about 400 words for the sequel - it's going slow, but it's happening!

    So, by keeping his thoughts separate from Harry's, Shadow was able to keep himself alive? How did he know doing that would work? I suppose things will probably be answered in the sequel. Great fic--I loved it!

    He didn't - basically until he pulled himself free, he was still a part of Harry's subconscious - not someone who was truly 'alive'. But with some things, you don't notice them until someone else points them out - Shadow didn't 'feel' his connection with Harry until Dumbledore pointed out that it was there and the nature of it. Basically - he didn't know that his idea would work, but he didn't have anything to lose by trying!

    Next story will contain more chapters that are solely Shadow, and will hopefully go some way to explaining the more confusing aspects of his life. Thanks for reviewing - I'm really glad you liked it!

    I liked this ending, it's a bit of a cliffie, and leaves me wondering how Shadow can contact Harry? Can he do it in water? Or maybe in some kind of dream? Great job, anyhow, Jen! Can't wait for the sequel.

    Author's Response: Thanks - I thought I'd better give everyone an incentive to keep reading! Shadow will be getting his own chapters next time as well... I think I'll keep the rest of it a secret for now, though! Until next time!

    That was a great revenge on the Dursleys. I wonder what Draco thinks of living with Dumbledore though? And what about Shadow?

    Author's Response: Thank you - I'll leave your imagination to fill in the blanks for what Dumbles did to them! I can't wait to get round to writing a bit about Draco and how he and Dumbledore are coping with each other!

    Greensleeves was written by Henry VIII for Anne Boleyn, I'm a closet history buff, especially with the Tudors.

    I'm glad Lily forgave Severus and he is no longer a Death Eater.

    Author's Response: Thank you! I knew Greensleeves was written Henry the eighth, but I couldn't remember which one of his six wives he wrote it for...
