OMG, is it the Weasley twins?! That would be flipping hilarious.

Author's Response: I would have loved for it to have been them! Unfortunately, Molly wouldn't let them go to join in at the Ministry :( so they can't be with Albus... But someone else can!

I wonder why Harry absorbed the book last chapter and I wonder when Severus is going to notice. Was it a good thing? I hope it isn't harmful.

    -P.G.

Author's Response: In this case, it's a good thing. Sev won't notice because he thinks the book is useless to him, but it will be very helpful to Harry when it reappears!
Title: The Box, the Book and the Broken Mirror 27 Dec 2008 8:59 pm

Oh my, I can't believe Shadow broke the mirror. That was cool. I wonder how much power Shadow has and if he's going to try and torture Snape now. After all, Snape did catch a flash of him earlier, which means he can see him, at least a little bit.

I'm glad Harry finally feels safe with Snape.

    -P.G.

Author's Response: heh heh - I suppose he got frustrated enough to punch it. I've always wanted to punch a mirror... pity common sense keeps getting in the way!

I think you may have made a bit of an error because I don't understand how Snape could have known about Harry's room under the stairs. How did he know to look there? They haven't started occlemency yet and Harry certainly didn't tell him about it.

Also, why doesn't Harry ask Shadow about his dad? He can now, but maybe he's forgotten. Sorry if my review sounds like a bit of a downer--I really do like your story. I wouldn't have read this far if I didn't. I'm also excited to find out how Snape is going to react to the situation in the morning.

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

Oh, I only made Severus open the cupboard as a last resort. You know when you open the most ridiculous place when you're frustrated about not being to find something? Well, yeah, and then the 'Harry's room' written in crayon caught his eye, making him have a closer look.

Also - Shadow's already said that he doesn't know anything about who it is even though he does know that it's someone other than James. Anyway, I don't mind answering queries etc, so keep them coming :) Thanks for reviewing!

Title: The Use of Magic 27 Dec 2008 7:44 pm

I'm a bit confused about the voice Sev hears before he goes into Harry's room. Did he hear Shadow talking to himself? I don't think Harry could cover up and pretend to be asleep that quickly. Plus, it seemed like his magic really tired him out--like he should have been sleeping. I'm curious about what's going on.

    -P.G.

Author's Response: He heard Harry talking to 'himself' and I reckon it was all those years of hiding from the Dursleys that made Harry so quick. You're right - he really should have been sleeping, but when has Harry ever done something that's good for him?

Oh my. Sev is going to have a FIT (good I hope) when he realizes that Harry was being serious when he called him Dad! I'm still looking forward to that conversation!--maybe he could contrive some way to have Sev look in the Book? A "family" history lesson. Ask how he could know more about the Potters--have Sev tell him about "family" books and show him the Snape book--see that Harry is listed in there. (Or he could just drop the think on Sev's head).

Looking forward to your next update!
    V.

Author's Response: That's a very interesting idea you've thought up... but I hope that I will be able to surprise you with the way that it comes out in the end! Next chapter should be up soon.

It's perfect,,,, but I can't wait for him to tell Snape.

Author's Response: heh, thanks, but be careful what you wish for...(!) No matter - next update soon.

    Bless the Christmas elves!
I like the vanishing things idea, I am curious if it shows up it is linked to Harry's playing with his magical core.
Snape is getting softer but I like it *grin*
    Mila

Author's Response: Indeed, they are wonderful! The vanishing things could turn out to be fatal... I daresay Snape is really annoyed with how soft he's getting, unfortunately there's not much he can do about it! Thanks for reviewing!

    Wow, this is very exciting!

Author's Response: I'm glad you think so!

I really liked how Harry was talking to his shadow in the window--that was a very creative idea.

    -P.G.

Author's Response: heh, thanks - Shadow ended up accidently taking on a personality of his own when I didn't mean him to!
