A good read? No. an EXCELLENT read, YES!!!!!

I howled at the line “You-Know-Who in fishnets?”. I'm surprised the neighbors didn't come to see what was wrong, I was laughing so loudly and just couldn't stop.

The little green Ophidian was just adorable and if I was it would have probably bitten the woman.

I am wondering what happened to Harry and wondering where Shadow went. And I'm wondering if Sev is going to manage to survive without having an apoplectic fit everyday what with everything that's going on.

It was a relief to discover that he intruder was Sirius and not a Death-eater, but I still want to thwap the animagus upside the head for his stupidity (Wards are in place for a reason, furball!).

I love the way you are handling the characterizations. They are excellently drawn and not OOC in the least.

    So Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

    Author's Response:

Thank you very much! I tried to think of something sensible to put in for that line, but the idea of Sirius saying that just popped into my head and wouldn't go out again! It's great to hear that it amused you as much as me, oh and that you like Salem... maybe Harry should wreak revenge on the shop lady.

Sirius was an idiot, but it's such a thing that he would end up doing! I am sure you shall discover the answer to all your questions in the coming chapters, if not I shall explain after the story finishes, promise! I hope you continue to enjoy this!

    Good read indeed!

Severus is hooked, that much is obvious! How can you not fall in love with Harry.

I'm anxious to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you - heh heh, too true! Sev will have to admit it to himself sooner or later. Next chapter will be up as soon as I can fix my laptop screen - stupid thing!

I like the little snake-if that isn't trouble brewing. . .could be fun. Will Shadow have one too?

I'm disapointed in Siri and Moony--they should have taken better care of Harry while they were with him. Sev was so wonderful when he got home, telling them off--now if he could only let Harry know that he really does care, then "all would be right in the world" or as right as it can be in the HP universe for these two.

Looking forward to your next update.

    V.

Author's Response: Thanks - I'm glad you like him; and you shall find out what happens next chapter! Yes, pity about the Marauders, but I suppose they can be excused, they were up late the night before fending off the forces of evil - lol. More Harry/Snape coming up soon!

I never counted him as one, he's scum! I liked Severus's reaction to them and I hope he doesn't have a stroke having to deal with Sirius and Harry at the same time. And hopefully Sirius doesn't encourage Harry to mischief, he gets into enough on his own.

Author's Response: Too true. heh heh, I shall try to contain the damage as much as possible... maybe Dumbledore will be able to get them to leave before Severus comes back... then again, maybe not! Thanks for reviewing! :)

    Hey there!

I've got to hand it to you—this is the first time I've read an (in this case admittedly very lightweight) corporal punishment story without getting furious. I *don't* approve of corporal punishment except (possibly) in the very rarest of cases, BUT...what I honestly find more disturbing is the attitude many CP authors seem to have of the ideal relationship between children and their parents. They require respect (no problem there) but don't seem to offer their children any in return. Also, they use CP for practically every infraction, which seems seriously unnecessary.

My rant aside (sorry), :D, I just wanted to thank you for showing me that not every author that writes CP has these perspectives. Also, I should mention that I have really been enjoying your story! I just discovered it, but I quickly caught myself up.

    Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: It's wonderful to hear that the CP factor of this story didn't turn you off. I got some flack for it over on ff.net, but what people didn't seem to understand was that I did not write it for the scene itself, I wrote it for the consequences. It's about Severus realising what an idiot he's been, and Harry gradually learning that he can trust Snape despite the fact that the man disciplined him physically. I don't mind the rant at all, other people's views help me sort things out in my own head as well, so thank you. I hope you continue to enjoy this!

Wow, Harry doesn't realise how prophetic his words really are, does he? I'm loving it more and more, and as far as I'm concerned the end result of your severe case of writer's block, is fantastic!

Please update soon, the suspense is killing me! ;)

Author's Response: He doesn't, indeed! It's great to hear that you're enjoying this, and hopefully I'll be able to get the next part of the story up soon!

Aargh thats soo mean! Who is it? Fred and George? P
Please you can't leave it like that, I'm begging you.

Author's Response: lol - I'm sorry, the less I want to write cliffhangers, the more appear. It's not F&G, but think back a generation... Thanks for reviewing!

Ooh, who's coming? Sirius and Remus? I don't know. But I am really enjoying this story. Although, it was kinda creepy, because the first chapter I read and went "Hey! This is MY story!" I wrote a oneshot that started a lot like this, called Reflection, it was a little weird. But it deviated so wildly that I've decided it was probably just a fluke, and not to accuse you of plagiarism. Unless, of course, you don't update soon, in which case I may have to rethink. Mwahaha!!

Author's Response: Yep - poor Sev, that was very mean of me! After you mentioned your story, I had to go and look it up. It's really shocking how similar the beginnings are! I swear that I hadn't heard of your story beforehand (though it's really good and captivating!) My Shadow is definitely from the same universe as Harry... and I promise Dumbles will have explained it all by the end of the story. As for the next chapter, we shall have to see!
