Reviews For Severus Snape and the Muggle
Author's Response: Next chapter. Lesley
Waitt....is Erin Harry's love intrest...? but you really should up date a shocking discovery first!!! Author's Response: No, Erin is not Harry's love interest. She is twenty-eight years old. He has a bit of a crush on her, but that is quite common for young, hormone driven teens. And Erin is not into 16 year olds in that way. She has become incredibly fond of HArry. but not in a romantic sense. Read the story notes to find out the general outline. Thank you for your review and ASD will be updated ASAP. Another few chapters of this will be uploaded first though, because they are already written. I have 26 chapters of this written. Lesley
Author's Response: I do realise that people can be allergic to anything at all, even gentle, natural things. But Harry was thinking on the spot, and Erin isn't a medical person, so she just assumes, as would many, that because it is a natural product, it should be OK. She did tell him just to try a tiny bit first. Thank you for your review. Lesley
Author's Response: Thank you for this lovely review. I am so glad that you like my writing and my stories. I will be updating this first because I have 26 chapters already written. I am working on the next chapter of ASD now. Lesley
HR Author's Response: Thank you. Glad you found the story and am enjoying it. Blatant plug, I know, but you might like my other story, 'A Shocking Discovery'. Both stories are also over at fanfic.net. Lesley
I'm truly enjoying your story. Erin is a lovely character, with no trace of being a Mary Sue, and your grammar, syntax and spelling are impeccable. Thank you for taking such care with your story and with the characters. I do have one concern, however. I'm a bit skeptical about the lack of action among Harry's friends and teachers regarding his welfare. You mentioned that Vernon reads Harry's letters before Hedwig flies them to their destinations, and that Harry believes that his friends are concerned. Are Ron and Hermione not conveying their concerns to the adults, or are the adults dismissing them? It would be nice if you could provide a more thorough explanation of this at some point in the story. Overall, though, this is a minor quibble that I only mention because the story is so well-written that I feel comfortable nitpicking/challenging you a bit. Feel free to ignore me, as well. I understand that the plot will probably move forward soon, and my "quibble" will become a moot point. Regardless, thank you once again for beginning your story on such a solid foundation. I genuinely look forward to the next chapter! Take care! :) Author's Response: Hello spikedust. Thank you so much for your lovely, well-rounded review. As far as the folk in Harry's life worrying about him...well, my take on the matter is that he is sending mail to them, and although his letters would not be chatty, Hermione and Ron would probably put that down to Harry naturally being down because he is back with the Muggles. Harry knows they would be worried about him because they know how much he hates being with the Dursleys. But he is writing and it is his hand writing, and as chapter 2 ends it is only eight days into the hols. Someone realises that Harry is in danger though, so don't worry too much. Next chapter will explain more. I hope to hear from you again. Lesley
Author's Response: Thank you for your review, Bean. I am glad you are enjoying it. I have 26 chapters written, so I can guarentee much faster updates than this last one was. I was disappointed with the number of hits for the first chapter, so there doesn't appear to be much interest on P&S. But I have decided to bite the bullet and get them uploaded, and if two people read it, them I should be happy I am sharing with someone at least. I have a theory for the lack of interest. I have decided that people see how long the chapters are and decide they haven't got time to read it. I find that the stories with shorter chapters get many more hits than the longer offerings. Or then again...maybe my stories are just crap! I am glad you're enjoying it though. Lesley
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing and letting me know that you read both stories. Much appreciated. I can guarantee an update within 24 hours. Lesley
Author's Response: Thanks so much Heather. Glad you are hooked and I hope to hear from you again. Lesley
Again, I must say how pleased I am that you have decided to post here, because alot of readers wouldn't ever have seen it, and that would be a shame! :) Author's Response: No Dawn, the story won't be different, other than fixing up all the mistakes I have found while going through the chapter *blushes*. I just downplayed the romance in the summary. Lesley |
