Oh yeah! Ink splattered Snape and an Umbridge who's going to get what's coming to her! I love it! Ever considered writing a follow-up? Even just a short one? I'd read it!

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear that you'd enjoy a sequel, but I think I'd better quit while I'm ahead! I do have another story in the works where there might be an Umbridge comeuppance . . . or, for a oneshot, you can check out my story "The Severe Beating of a Defence Teacher" on That Other Site. :o) Thanks for reviewing!

Oh God, Snape really picked the wrong fable! But it was perfect and such good writing. I never even saw it coming. XD

"Public figures often feel that if they ignore the elephant in the room, it will disappear of its own accord." Now, who could you be refering to?! This whole story had me ROFL-ing! Thanks for sharing!!

Author's Response: Who, indeed? :o) Glad I made you laugh. Funny, I didn't mean for the story to have any hidden meanings, but they kind of snuck in anyway . . . Thanks for the review!

LOL. I love the way you inverted the reader's expectations. Well done indeed. Loved it.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing! The ending kind of wrote itself, so I was as surprised as anyone else. :o)

    LOVED it! This was fantastic!

Author's Response: Thanks! I can't see Snape and Harry getting all close over the incident, but this I can picture. :o)

As an ancient Chinese proverb states: Be careful what you wish for; you might just get it!

Author's Response: I'll bet there's even a fable with that moral! I could go on and on writing stories for this challenge. Or maybe have Dumbledore teach Severus something in light of this . . . incident. Thanks for reviewing!

I don't think that that is the message Severus wanted him to get. He forgot for a moment that he was dealing with a teenager - a creature that doesn't think things through.

But it was very very good.

Author's Response: Severus didn't understand teenagers when he was one, and apparently it hasn't gotten better with age. :o) There's probably a fable about giving unwanted advice somewhere . . . I'll have to check. Thanks for reviewing!

hahah! I loved the twist at the end! Great story!

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! Poor unsuspecting readers, thinking Snape would become the wise old mentor . . .

This is the only time I have ever reviewed a story on this site because I am lazy or atleast unmotivated to conjure up a few words of encouragement or praise. But your story here, is probably one of the single most moving stories I've read in fanfiction. The story and the language were very beautiful. Even though this is a one shot, you have me wondering what exactly will Harry's little ephiany have on the effect of canon. Thank you for writing such a moving piece.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you reviewed! I understand you completely; I invented lazy. :o) Your comments were so kind. I agree, this would really knock canon on its back!
