Very interesting use of Peeves. His voice was well-done in this chapter.

What an odd chapter. The food fight to end all food fights, Peeves is important in some strange way, and we have DE squeeky toys. Oookay! ;-)
oh, he finally called him "Harry." I think this is one of the few stories I have read where Harry continues to get in all kinds of trouble and Snape comes to care for him anyway. I think I like it. ;-)
Absolutely thrilling and exciting chapter. You are weaving quite a few threads in this story and I can't wait to see how you bring it all together.
Draco is so sad. I'm looking forward to what you're going to do with him in this story.
Interesting idea in the trunk and Peeves story is so sad. I look forward to what you do later with this ingenious idea.
The butter-fingers thing is really awful. I hope by the end of this story someone has figured out how to remove it.
The Dursleys in this chapter are much closer to how I perceive their relationship with Harry to be--no horrendous abuse, just emotional and physical neglect. The silly coded sentences they speak in were an excellent way to show their attitude toward magic.

I don't usually review stories, but I just have to let you know that this is by far one of the highest quality fics I've ever read. Your blend of drama and smart humor makes for a truly spell-binding, emotional read. I love the way your characters grew and matured while remaining true to their defining qualities. Your use of Peeves as an actual character was sheer brilliance and your Snape impeccable. I hope you're considering a sequel at some point in the near future--you've left me wishing for more!!

Wow, that was an awesome story. I liked how you used an existing character (peeves) and brought him to life (so to speak) also, Snape was great. So many people have some sudden thing happen which makes him this nice person, but you were able to maintain the Snape-iness that makes us all love him (well hate him so much we love him in some cases) Well done, Are you planning to do a sequel?
