    Another wonderful chapter.

Also, I went back and re-read the last one and had forgotten how great that was.

I love the way you write Harry and Snape. The bit where Snape realises he's been pranked into a Gryffindor is but just brushes it off is really poignant. I just want to give your Harry a big hug, he's so confused and damaged but coming on in leaps and bounds all the same.

    Keep it up :)

Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! I'm glad you liked Snape's reaction. Sometimes my characters sort of act for themselves. Snape just didn't mind the prank all that much, that time, so I didn't make him react. I can't describe it better than that - it's just the way writing works for me, and what is so much fun about it. :0) Thanks for the review, and happy new year! Rhiannan

"Gregory Nott" ? I though that there was Theo Nott , and Gregory Goyle xd
But that's a little mistake (or maybe not?)
I liked it, I like the way things go in your fic - slowly, and I love those long chapters ;d Take care, and write more. ^^
    Happy New Year ;)

Author's Response: LOL no, it's not a mistake. Canon doesn't actually give Nott, Sr. a first name. Most authors choose to give him the same name as his son, but I didn't feel like. I chose Gregory 'cause I like the name. I did notice that it's already another character's name, but that's not unrealistic, either. So w/e. Thanks for the heads-up, anyway. Glad you liked the chapter, and thanks for the review!! Happy New Year! :0) Rhiannan

Beautiful chapter! The thing I am not sure about is, does it really take a 10 year old, good hearted kid that long to actually trust someone? Don't you think it is high time for Harry to come around?

Author's Response: Glad you liked, but I have to disagree with you. It's only been two months. Harry has been abused for 10 years. People don't change that quickly, especially when the trauma happens as a child. I personally feel that, actual time-wise, I'm going too fast. It just seems slow 'cause each chapter is only about 2-3 days. That said, I do feel that 140,000 words in is high time for things to start improving!

I'm really enjoying this look of what if Harry believed what the Dursleys told him, that he was worthless and a screw-up and always in trouble. A bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Glad you like!! And thanks for the review!!

Oh, man. Poor, poor, poor, poor, poor Harry!!!!!! You really make me feel awful for him. And have I mentioned I LOVE Theo? I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: LOL glad you like Theo. He's a lot of fun. :0) And yes, this was definitely a 'poor Harry' chapter, but I think we made some progress, at least. Glad you enjoyed this chapter! The next chapter should be out in roughly two weeks - if you read my author's notes, I'm alternating updating this story with my new one, called Outcast's Alley, so though I'm still posting about once a week, LDTH will only update about every 2 weeks. Thanks for the review!! Glad you liked it! Rhiannan

Much better way to deal with them than in cannon loved the parent's reactions and of course Snape's thank you for updating

Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you liked!! Yeah I never liked how the adults in canon dealt with Harry and Ron. They were eleven, for goodness' sake! You should be keeping them safe, not praising them for 'bravery' when they run off and do something foolish! LOL anyway, thanks for the review!!

I really love this story, it is well written, witty and also emotive. Discovering that a new chapter has been posted is a real treat.

Author's Response: *big smile* yey!! Glad you like so much!! I hope you enjoy my new fic, too - it'll be coming out in a week or so. :0) (Don't worry, like I said in my author's note, this fic will NOT be abandoned - it'll post alternately with the new fic.) Thanks for the wonderful review!!

Well, you've hooked me. I'm loving this story now! You take things slow and that is needed.

Awesome job! Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Woot!! Glad you like so much!! Makes me happy!! I hope you like my new fic, too - it should be coming out in a week or so. This one should update sometime after that - 2-3 weeks from now? Anyway nice to hear from you! Hope you continue to like my stuff!

Brilliant story.... Hope Harry realises Snape cares and stop the way he is acting

Author's Response: Yey! Glad you like!! Harry'll come around...eventually. LOL he'll get there. This story should update in 2-3 weeks, depending on when I get the first chapter of my new fic out - it's being a bit difficult. Thanks for the review!!
