    Thank you ^_^

I don't know if even Harry could spend one hour throwing insults and curses to Snape lol but it would be nice to see lol

Author's Response: Yeah he'd probably get tired. Then again, Snape WANTS him to talk, so for all we know he'll egg him on. (I don't know yet. I don't write this story - the characters do. I just take dictation.) lol it really feels like that sometimes - that's what makes it fun. Anyway I'm rambling. Thanks for the review!! Glad you liked it, and you're very welcome!

I did like this chapter! I saw Snape giving in a little. He seemed more willing to give Harry what Harry thought he needed, rather than just forcing Harry to accept the things that Snape thought he needed (punishments, etc.) Yes, it would be better for Harry to talk about his past treatment, but Harry will see that Snape does care about him much quicker since Snape is allowing him to proceed at his own pace. I know that is hard for Snape and you wrote that very well.

Author's Response: Cool!! Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, I think it's important that BOTH Snape and Harry give a little for this to work. It can't just be Snape wearing Harry down. :0)

Great chapter! I enjoyed the confrontation with Sinestra immensely, and I liked how Snape backed Harry up even though he could've chosen to take offense. I absolutely adored Minerva, and it was great to see how Harry's comparing to his peers, at least in Transfiguration. The hour with Snape is a great idea; I look forward to seeing what happens.

As for the Anita Blake series, I sympathize; I remember when I first found that series, and to this day I eagerly await each new book. If you liked that, you should give her Merry Gentry series a look; she's done some absolutely lovely things with Celtic mythology there, and I actually prefer Merry Gentry to Anita Blake.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it!! Yeah, I think we made some progress in this chapter, and I, too, love Minerva McGonagall. She may be my favorite character in canon. (Along with Snape and the Weasley twins) LOL on the Anita Blake. I was lucky - I'd only bought a certain number of the books and so ran out in time to eventually get this chapter out. What's the first book of the Merry Gentry series called? I'll check it out. For the record, if you like Laurell K Hamilton DON'T read Charlaine Harris - it's like Anita Blake toned down. I found it seriously boring, though I may try out the TB-show, which will be necessarily faster-paced.

    Sinistra is just maddening.. grr.

I don't review often -- I tend to quietly read the stories I follow. But at some point during an exceptional story I have to speak up. This is a wonderfully original story and very well written, with well-developed characterizations. (And, you have selected one of the best story titles in fanfiction -- maybe the best.) Thank you for the good work and regular updates. Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat is a pleasure to read.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks!! And I'm glad you like my title - my sister thinks it's dumb. lol. :0)

Oh, I like it a lot! Yes, a little depressing - but one step closer to Harry learning to trust grownups. I just hope Snape can keep his promise about nothing Harry says getting him into trouble...

Boy, is Hermione ever going to be jealous! Can Harry please tell her right away?

Author's Response: Ooooooo I like that idea!! I hadn't thought of Hermione's reaction. No worries, I WILL use that. Yey!!:0)

I must admit, every time I see this story has been updated, my homework suffers. This is an awesome story and I'm sorry I didn't review earlier but I didn't have an account. 5/5

Author's Response: LOL woot. It is the ambition of any author to screw with people's daily lives through their writing. Hehehehehe Thanks for the review!!!

I didn't find it depressing but I did laugh with the conversation with Sinestra.

Author's Response: Good. I liked that convo, too. :0)
