I absolutely love this chapter. Harry is indeed healing a bit - I like how he thinks things through, and is trying to figure Snape out. It's all so sweet! I am a bit indignant on Harry's part though, with all his friends getting angry with him. I understand their feelings, but I'm still annoyed. I sympathize with Harry more, and how he wanted to be left alone. Of course, not left to the Dursleys, but at least released from interrogation. I mean, his friends really don't understand what he's going through, but they want to know everything anyway. Well, I love Harry's character - ever since the beginning I have. I look forward to see him maturing and learning to trust Snape.
Author's Response: Glad you like it so much!! Thanks for the long review!! Yeah, hopefully Harry's friends will get over themselves and realize that they're not helping. We'll have to see. :-)
There! I got several chapters behind, but I'm finally caught up. How DARE work interfere with my reading, right?
Anyway, this continues to develop really intriguingly. Great job!!!
Author's Response: Yes, and how dare it interfere with my writing! (Actually it's summer, so that frustration is mostly gone, but...) Anyway glad you like it, and thanks for your review!! I should have the next chapter out tomorrowish. :-)

Honestly, I'm one of those people who drive authors crazy by reading the stories and then not reviewing, but your story just gets me. Not in a bad way, I promise! You make the emotions in it so real, which not many authors, in either fanfiction or regular books can do. This is the first story where I've actually cried (and I don't cry easily. Almost never.) I like that Snape isn't being allowed to give up, because Harry really needs him, even though he thinks he doesn't. :) Really though, great job!
Author's Response: Thanks!! I'm glad you like it so much!! :-)
Superpower Harry combined with abused Harry makes up the perfectly likable character... Not this one though. I really like your Harry - that kid's got some spirit and he's not giving in that easily to the "comfort thing", which, again, is a part of a 100% likable character. And Snape's insecurity about his own ability to do any good is captured really well - just like Harry uses his anger, so does Snape puts up a mask to hide his vulnerability (yes, he's a bit of a softie underneath that sarcastic exterior, never doubted that;).
I find abused!Harry stories very disturbing, actually. (Well, inflicting pain on a child SHOULD be disturbing.) But the humorous overtone mitigates, somewhat, that distressing quality (even though it's more of a biting sarcasm than humour). Nevertheless.
Great, great story! Whatever I said above, I'm looking forward to the "comfort thing", hehe :) Who wouldn't want to see Harry set free of his angst? By Snape, no less.
Author's Response: LOL yeah. Harry's only 11 years old, for goodness' sake! Anyway, thanks for reviewing, glad you like it. :-)

LOL This was very interesting! Harry is so going to be a lot of trouble for Severus lol! Great Chapter! ^_^
Author's Response: Thanks! LOL Glad you like it! :-)
Wonderful! Harry seems to be a bit of a smarty. Loved that the Slytherins weren't hostile and Ron's still his friend. Overall, the story's so captivating and funny! I'd write a review for each and every chapter but I'm really drawn in. Back to the reading then...
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing!! Yeah he's nobody's fool. Hope you continue to like it as you go on. :-)
Not too short. Enough meat to get my teeth around. Great chapter! All that was right at the beginning--Harry's upbeat mood--came crashing down in a big hurry.
I feel sorry for Ron having to deal with Molly's wrath in isolation as it were. I feel a bit peeved with Hermione for pushing Harry to the point where hostilities broke out, but then again, it doesn't take much for Harry to take offence.
I do wonder why sev lost it like he did. Perhaps because he was having a Harry-free evening for a change and all of that changed with lightning-fast rapidity. It is the potions master who has learned a salutory lesson this evening I think.
Lesley~
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Yeah, I think Sev needs periodic reminders of who he's really dealing with with Harry. He can't afford to let his moods interfere with his dealings with Harry. I feel impatient with Hermione, but I also feel bad for her. She's a bit of a busybody, but she's just trying to help, and she's only eleven years old. Yeah, I also feel bad for Ron...and Sev. Screw it, I feel bad for everybody in this chapter. Blaise for getting caught in the middle, Mrs. Weasley for having to deal with five sons...
