Reviews For Broken Wings
V. Author's Response: Aww, thanks! *blushes* I had a really hard time deciding what to do for the prank too. And how Sev should handle Bella, since I didn;t want her to die yet. Glad you liked my solutions. :) XD
Yay for Snape finding the cure, even if he did give himself away. My one concern is that Narcissa may have overheard his little tirade, as we don't know where she was during all of this. It would be bad if Lucius found out about what Snape did because he would definitely be the type to seek revenge. This chapter is one of my favorites! I look forward to reading more soon! -P.G. Author's Response: Yes, he did, and they did it without really hurting anyhting except his pride, and I don;t think he'll ever forget it and who knows, he might even learn something from it. As for Snape giving himself away, he might and he might not have. That remains to be seen. Because Narcissa might have been out or she could have been lurking around a corner . . .and Lucius would be ready to rip out Sev's guts if he ever knew the truth of how Severus caused him to lose his eye and betrayed all the DE's. So happy you liked it! Thanks for reviewing so frequently, I really appreciate it! :)
Author's Response: Great! I thought it was pretty funny myself, but sometimes people don;t share my weird sense of humor. As for Sev, ruthless is an apt description for him when he chooses to be so. Thanks for all your reviews too!
Jace's gift is really interesting (he's not behaving like a proper Slytherin, though, he could blackmail anyone to leave him alone, or else he will spread their deapest secrets... lol) You wrote the Severus/Sirius dialog very nicely, too. Mila Author's Response: Wow, guess my pranking Malfoy was a hit! I'm glad you like Jace's little talent, it'll help Sev and Harry someday. There's a reason why Jace can't use his gift that way, and you'll find out what it is next chapter. I loved the Sev & Siri reconciliation thing, their hatred was understandable but not very comfortable to write. But while they won't be friends they will tolerate each other enough so they won't hex each other on sight.
hope that u update soon thanx xoxoxo. Author's Response: Sirius may recover once Severus talks to Bellatrix, which should be coming up next chapter! Thanks for your reviews!
Author's Response: Yes, it was. Those things were unpleasant, but they needed to be addressed, and I for one like Harry when he stands up for himself and doesn't just go along with whatever Albus says. I think he made it easy for harry to admire and worship him as a youngster, but now Harry is growing up and starting to learn what's been going on behind the scenes, and not everything is black and white or cut and dried. Dumbledore is not perfect, just as Severus is not, or Sirius, or even Harry. He simply allowed people to think he was.
Great update. Hmmm, are you going to cure Sirius? Author's Response: You're right, we would be in trouble. Ah . . .you'll see in the next chapter, wouldn't want to spoil my surprise.
Author's Response: I know this might seem like a filler chapter, but it's not. Yes, everyone who is reading knows that D made a huge mistake and all and that Severus knows and to a certian extent Harry knows, but Harry needs to tell D the way he feels as Harry, and also needs to tell him that he won't be used that way again. It's an assertion of independence that is necessary for his continued growth as a person. He also needs to tell D about the new prophecy, because Albus has no clue about it. And then Albus can offer some clues and leads about the Horcruxes and some general info on Tom Riddle, the Gaunt mansion, the Riddle House, the orphanage. Dumbeldore knows about those places because he knew Tom from before he was LV, Severus doesn;t know of them because it was before his time as a DE. And lastly, it allows Harry to really drive home to Dumbledore that he really screwed up and should make sure not to do it a third time--the first time he messed up was with Severus. Plus, it gives me a chance to re-do that scene in the office and show a more controlled Harry, totally different from canon.
Author's Response: Yes, he finally does manage to provide Harry with a much needed hug and comfort here, which the kid needs after the roller coaster of emotion he's been on. And no relationship with Sev and Harry will be perfect, they will still argue and disagree, but Severus is now willing to admit that he cares (loves) for Harry and will be there to help him no matter what, and Harry knows that too. That trust was an important thing to establish and it's what I've been aiming for this entire story. But that doesn't mean their mentor/guardianship will be perfect. But any arguments they have will not be irreversible.
Author's Response: That's what I was hoping for, since in this story, Harry has matured more than in canon and learned from Severus how to control himself better. And that did go a long way towards showing Albus that he could make sound decisions and act like an adult and not a child. |
