    Heh heh heh...ni-i-i-ice pic!!

Boy, Harry could certainly use an anger management class! I'm proud of Severus for keeping his own control, however tenuously. Dealing with cantankerous teens can drive one INSANE! They're all Att-i-tude with no ears. At least Harry knows his temper is a problem! That's the hardest part. I liked the imagery and techniques for the Occlumency lessons, too.

Draco sure can put his foot in it! ::snicker:: I think his Black blood is showing--Sirius has that same foot-in-mouth syndrome, but I doubt Lucius has ever exhibited any symptoms.

It's good Severus got Harry to talk about his dreams. Canon always drove me wild, the way Harry just miraculously Got Over Stuff, between books and off-scene.

I can't wait to see how Ron and Sirius' attitudes are dealt with--and the Dumbledore Confrontation! ::pitching the flak jacket back into its trunk storage and grabbing popcorn, Twix bars and a Mountain Dew in preparation to enjoy the show::

    Author's Response:

Isn't it though? I love it!

I think most teens could do with one, especially at that age.  I know where you're coming from with that comment.  Anyone who has taught children could sympathize with that.  There are times I was like . . .help me God but I want to KILL something!

Oh yes, Draco has  abit more of the Black family in him than Malfoy.  No, Lucius must have been born with a forked or silken tongue, he's a slick one.

Yes, that drove me nuts too, but then JKR was going for the Ultimate Hero not a relaistic portrayal of a teenage boy dealing with stuff no teenager ought to.

Ron's reaction is posted now, go read it! And thank you!

This just keeps getting better and better!
The photo "manip" is a riot.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I thought it was hilarious.  Her face  . . .it's cracking me up and i'm not even looking at it.

Hope you like the next part! It's got a pretty big fight between Harry and Ron and a surprise from Severus!

I'm glad Harry had that talk and can finally ease his mind over Cedric. It was long over-due after all, and now he’s finally progressing in Occlumency :)

When Harry ran away, I was shocked by his recklessness, yet could understand his state of mind. Hedwig's indignation was finny though, and I hope Harry is prepared for a sound pecking in the near future, lol

    Author's Response:

It was, since the first chapter, as a matter of fact.

And that's just what he needs to help him progress further.

Yes, harry still has an impulse problem, he's lucky Severus didn't call him on it.

You'll see Hedwig in action next chapter, which I just posted!

    I'm going to kill you.

I'm going to kill you and leave you very dead and even your ancestors will feel it!

Go bloody damn figure he's not an Animagus!

Well... things certainly got a bit tense for a while there, didn't they? ::claps hands:: I love tense situations! And you included Freedom! I can't wait for the next chapter.

::starts humming high-ho:: Seven chapters to go...

    Love always,

    Jewels.

    Author's Response:

Now did I say he wasn't??

    Did I??

I never said he couldn;t learn, just that well, he needs a bit of free time to do so.

Yes, things were tense and you'll see some more tension in the next chapter.

Get ready for the blowout between harry and Ron.

It's great to see Crabbe stand up to Malfoy-- it's nice to see some minor characters develop more fully. The particulary nice thing about their confrontations is that while Malfoy is being horrible, I do understand his persepective. Draco is acting as he always has, and not adapting well to the changes in his friend-- some version of this kind of drama happens in a lot of friendships. I thought Draco was probably being sincere (if still rude and mean) when he said he didn't understand what Crabbe was doing and why-- there is a class prejudice being played out that I think is interesting.

I also enjoyed the occulmemcy lesson, although I hope that Harry doesn't get too good at it too quickly. A young person trying a new skill for the first time vs. an adult that has been practicing for years? A mental dicipline should take time to master. The tantrum was great-- Harry seems like an adolecent--not stupid, but impetuous and emotional. I'm a sucker for the hawk sections and the Hedwig parts are very fun.

    Author's Response:

Yes, there is that particular pureblood (nobility) class attitude that Draco has and one would assume that Crabbe might not be quite as elite since he seems to let Malfoy lord it over him.  Or at least he used to.  I liked making Crabbe more in depth and well rounded, its fun to take him down a road he's never been before and see if he can grow into a better man than his Death Eater father, perhaps.

No fear of Harry getting good quickly, Severus was going easy on him, wanting to see if he could erect the wall and keep it up for a bit, to give him a little confidence boost.

That's how I want to portray Harry--he's a troubled kid, but he's also prone to acting just like every other adolescent, emotional and impulsive, though he is working on it.

You'll see more of Hedwig too next chapter and things will finally be resolved between Harry and Ron.

Much goodness. Poor Harry. Soap is no fun. He kinda deserved it, though. He didn't even get punished for changing forms without permission, after all. Plus it all led to warm fuzzy goodness! I also really like the bit with Crabbe washing Fang. Really cute, and a good insight to how Crabbe is changing. :-)

Author's Response: No, it's not, and Severus couldn;t let him get away with it and then expect Harry to respect him if he did.  And Sev DID let him off the fact that he shifted forms without permission, though I think making Harry talk about his dreams was a kind of punishment to him--at first.  I loved Fang and Crabbe, it reminded me of the time I tried to wash my sister's bull terrier--soap and water everywhere, more on me than the dog! You'll see Crabbe change even more in future chapters.

Oh forgot to add that the picture is great! I love Umbridge's face. It really looks as though she's being attacked. Great job Mikee.

    Author's Response:

Doesn't it though? She looks like she's freaking out!

    Run, Dolly, run!

    Hats off to Mikee!
