I like how Severus able to draw out Harry's feelings on Cedric. Holding in grief and pain like that isn't good for Harry. It was like a boil festering and needed to be broken to heal.

The only part I didn't like about the chapter was when Harry was Freedom and killed the duck. Ooh, I know that when he transforms that he really is that animal and that that is nature, but I didn't like reading how he broke the hawk's neck. It is not a reflection on your writing, it was just hard to read because I don't like seeing any animal killed or hurt even if it's by another one.

Good job with the Occlumency. It is what Harry needed to get on the road to recovery.

All in all, Harry and Severus are becoming closer, and that's nice to see.

    Author's Response:

No and I like your analogy, it's very apt for what Harry was doing to himself.

Yes, I know it's hard to read about animals hunting, but well, that's what a hawk does. and at least the duck didn't suffer.

Definitely, and the lessons will also help him with Voldy when the time comes to face him again.

Closeness is always a good thing!

Now, that was rough--but I think Harry will start "getting better" now. Especiallly if Sev keeps his eye out for relapses in self fagulation (Harry's specialty). I was right though, Even with the angst--thta went better with both of them "willing" participants.

Looking forward to your next update--BTW-that sneak peak doesn't look happy at all--are you sure we can't just smack Ron now BEFORE he causes more trouble? (Puppy dog eyes)

    V.

    Author's Response:

He will, now that he's learned to let go of his guilt and see that he was not to blame for anything that happened that night.  Severus will be sure to keep an eye out for that.

I think any kind of lesson goes better when all participants are willing to learn and to teach.  The book Occluemncy lessons were doomed from the start due to extreme reluctance, distrust, and preconieved notions on both of their parts.

Ha--well, if you can catch Ron, feel free to give him one!

Great Iron Bird? o.o more scary birds in the forbidden forest.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Actually, thats's what the owls call the Stymphalian Bird that ate Umbridge.

It has iron wings and brass claws.  Thanks for reading! More story should be coming soon!

Hedwig should wash his mouth as well :) A nice chapter! Mila

    Author's Response:

Hahaha! Now that would be FUNNY!

    And he'd deserve it too!

    Thanks! :)

Loved the part about freedom, and the mentorship. Really love your story! can't wait for another chapter. I also think it's great Umbridge is gone, wish that happened in the books... she needs to die.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you like my Sev and Harry and I agree with you about the Toad Lady, she so needed to be put in the ground!

Hehe, Snape thinking Harry needs a sense of humor, that's rich ;D

I'm really happy about this mentor/ward development, it's a good idea for several reasons. The other Professor and student match-ups were interesting too, especially Hagrid and Crabbe. I have a feeling that he may need Hagrid's support later on if he decides to oppose becoming a death eater...

UMBRIDGE IS DEAD, Halleluiah! :D No one grieves the wicked, I know I won’t. Her death was very satisfying (though morbid) and it really was poetic justice. I also see similarities between it and Trelawney’s prediction. I'm glad Fudge admitted he was wrong about her, and that band is gone for good!

Good luck to Harry and Occlumency! And I hope Ron grows up, I hate to see good friends fight.

    Author's Response:

Sometimes Severus surprises me when I'm writing, like he did there.

Glad you liked that idea, it came from out of the blue, and you're right, Hagrid could help Crabbe when and if he decides to stand up to his DE father.

It's time to have a party, cause the B**** is dead, and the only one who cares is Voldy . . .maybe even he doesn;t care, LOL! Fudge finally got a clue and that band wa sjust begging to be destroyed.

Harry's going to need all the luck he can get.  Ron will come around soon.

And the next one's been posted. Happy reading!

Another fabulous chapter! I'm usually very soft-hearted, but I actually laughed as Umbridge met her end...does that make me an evil person?

Glad everything worked out with Ministry and I love that Harry and Severus are officialy bonded now. What a big step for the both of them.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

No, because otherwise I'd be one for writing her death, LOL!

I think we all like to see the bad girl get hers, since I was kind of disappointed in canon, I thought she deserved much more than she got.

It is a big step and the two of them should hopefully learn how to deal with it to their mutual satisfaction.

The next one's up and it has the Occlumency lessons in it.

Yay1 A new chapter! I'm really glad Fudge didn't try and attack Harry or accuse him of anything . . .well he did have irrefutable proof, but still . . .

Love the Snape-Harry bonding moments and I'm so glad Harry told Severus about the Voldemort thing. He needed to know. Can't wait for more!

    Author's Response:

Occasionally Fudge isn't as stupid as he seems.

I also enjoy those parts and have updated!
