Reviews For Broken Wings
Is Severus an Animagus? That's all I want to know, I sear! And what about my e-mail? Did you even /get/ it? What have you been doing that you don't have time to reply to little ol' me? Are you maybe... working on a certain sequel, perhaps? I love Freedom! As for me believing Sev's a bird... Come on. I know you too well. I can just picture the two of them soaring together. Ok, update soon. Author's Response: Yes, and I thought I sent a reply to you. I was sure I did . . . I will be working on that sequel soon AFTER wings. Keep picturing the image in your mind, Julie! 'Cause I'm not telling until . .. it's time for you to know. Sorry about the suspense, but that plotline is crucial to the story. Bye for now!
The *Broken Wings* world is based on a very different relationship between Sev and Harry, but I'm curious about the conflict the lessons are likely to bring. Since the cuff is off, I'm hoping for some Hawk!Harry soon-- just a little, maybe? Author's Response: Oh yes, Hawk!Harry will be making an appearance next chapter. The Occlumency lessons won;t be the total awful disaster they were in canon, although the evil Dumbledore version would make sense. But I have my own version of them and a reason why Severus finds it so difficult to teach it, besides Harry's attitude. Well, here, he doesn;t have an attitude towards learning it, but he does get frustrated and well, you'll see what happens. There will be a conflict though, since it's such a sensitive subject.
Great chapter. V. Author's Response: That's always a possibility. Having an open mind about the lessons instead of being forced into both giving them and taking them makes a huge difference.
I was smiling in front of my computer when I saw you made Umbridge part banshee ;-) It certainly shed light on why she hated part-humans so much. And I'm looking forward to Dumbledore's return to the school, and what he will have to say about Harry going to Snape's for the holidays. Author's Response: Yes, sometimes they just need some time to be with each other and nothing realy earth-shattering is going on. Yup Umbridge was one of those who hated herslef and anyone she thought was like her. Dumbledore won;t return until several chapters from now and he will be quite surprised when he finds THAT out!
Author's Response: Things will get better, although there will still be the occasional misunderstanding between them. Ron will get worse before he gets better, just so you know! Thanks for reading!
-P.G. Author's Response: Sev does have a pretty neat sense of humor, even if it is at Harry's expense. You'll find out what that means soon enough!
Author's Response: Thank you! There will be more of that to come! Much more!
Ooooo, but that explains so very much. :-) I really like that Hagrid was interersted in helping with Crabbe's interest in anmal husbandry. Nice little mix-n-match there. But who is Minerva mentoring? Well, when Dumbly gets back that is. I'm glad that Harry finally told Sev about his dreams. That should make for some more interesting chapters in the near future. As mentioned in your chapter notes. Author's Response: Yeah, I was pretty proud of that little idea. Doesn;t it explain a lot? Like why she was so dead set against half-humans and all that. Hagrid will be a good teacher for Vince and help the boy do something meaningful with his life and maybe even defy his father and not become a DE. Minerva isn;t mentoring anyone at the moment, not until she's back to being a teacher only. But could you just SEE her with Malfoy? ROTFL! There will be some interesting times ahead for all of them for sure!
I love the interaction between Harry and Snape. He finally has someone to look out for him, although I'll be very happy when Severus can stop spying because I think that Harry would be devastated if something happened to Severus. Great chapter, I can't wait to see how their relationship develops. Author's Response: Me too! As they say in the Land of OZ didng dong the wicked witch is dead! whoo-hoo! You are right, they both eed each other and Harry would probably have a breakdown if Severus was either seriously injured or died as a result of his spying for Voldemort. Their relationship will continue to develop a pace! Hope you like the next chapter!
...it took Harry *twenty-five minutes* to say yes to Snape's guardianship? *E-gads!* Severus has his work cut out for him with that boy! Heh. I almost hope Albus is difficult, just so Severus can let the old man have what-for. I'm sure Minerva would love a go at the Headmaster, too. Oooo, Occlumency lessons...at least they can't go as badly as in canon. ::wince:: Hmmm. Is Sirius going to show up and muck everything up, by any chance? ::twitch-of-a-grin:: Harry *was* asking him questions via letter, after all--he might think the boy needs a personal visit. ::snicker:: I'd imagine he'll be more horrified than Ron...and Harry will defend Severus, which will set Sirius off like nothing else...! ::checking where I put that flak jacket, just in case:: That could be even more fun than Umbridge's final exit! (Which scene caused me to scare the fur off three cats with the unexpected cheering! =P ) Author's Response: Isn't it, though? Someday Malfoy's going to go too far, and then he'll get it good. Oh yes, he does! Severus will let the old coot have it good, believe me. And so will Minerva. No, definitely not THAT bad. Oh yes, Sirius will be showing up soon, and he would be more horrified than Ron and probably behave just as badly too . . .because Sirius still harbors old grudges. And Harry while he likes Sirius, will have a stronger biond with Severus and yes, he will tell Sirius off good. It could and that's really funny! Hope you knitted some sweaters for your kitties, LOL! |
