Reviews For Broken Wings
I'm surprised that Hermione didn't put a warning about the stimulant crash on the phial! Author's Response: Whoops, I went back and fixed that, but thanks for the heads up. I was having trouble uploading the chapter. Hermione might not have known all the side-effects, except that you should only take so much in a certain period of time, not all the potions recipes include every side effect.
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! Hope you like the next bit . . .see I posted fast, like I promised! :D
Author's Response: Thank you! Please keep reading!
Author's Response: Well, I'm glad you like this so much to wait till the next one's up. Guess what??? It's HERE! :)
As always, your characterizations and conversations were very well done and I love the relationship you have between Hagrid and Severus. You know, you are the first person I know who writes Hagrid as an adult. I appreciate that. Far too many people write him as being stupid and ignorant or just ridiculously childish. He might talk a bit more than is wise under certain ciscumstances but he is clever and wise about many things and should be properly respected, as you do here. Again, bravi, bravi, bravissimi! Dancingkatz Author's Response: I know, it's hard when you start taking something and it does horrible things to your emotions. Severus should be able to do that . . .and recognize the cuff for what it is too, if he spots it. Thanks for your support of my Hagrid. I have always seen him as more than just a figure of comic relief and a bumbler. To me, he is an often underrated and ignored character and that's a shame, because think about how long he's been at the school, and what he knows about things that have gone on. he probably knew everyone's parents from Harry's year and could tell plenty of tales. And sometimes he might say things by mistake, but that doesn't mean he's stupid. To me, he is a wise figure, one who watches and sees much, but says little unless asked. And then when he does talk, he has something useful to impart, as Severus knows very well. And he is honest and does not seek to manipulate people, like Albus so often does.
Poor Harry. Now he got that burst of energy, he's it's dwindling. Now he's depressed. I just hope that Snape can snap him out of it. Author's Response: Severus can hold his temper when he needs to . . .and he knew the kid was under the influence of the potion and so could overlook a lot of Harry's cheek. Yes, Severus has come a long way. Hopefully Severus can help him. You can find out now!
I don't know how you can write such good chapters so fast! Author's Response: Thanks and I wish I had the answer, but I don't. I just . . .write them!
Anyway, I particularly liked this chapter, especially Hagrid's talk with Snape. I love your wise and kindly Hagrid and how he leads Snape towards the correct conclusions about Harry. I only hope that Snape can take Harry's anger from the potion wearing off. I think Snape knows why Harry is going to be saying the things he'll say, but it will still be hard for Severus to let him act that way. Hopefully, he'll keep an open mind about Harry. Really, I hope he ends up seeing the cuff because it's obviously causing Harry a great deal of trouble. I look forward to reading more soon! -P.G. Author's Response: Yes, i know. But . . .their discussion really does deserve a chapter of it's own. I'm so happy you like my Hagrid, I went out on a limb portraying him as more than just the dim-witted ignorant friend. Severus does understand where Harry is coming from, it might be a strain for him to keep his temper though. That cuff is something that will be addressed next chapter!
Author's Response: yes, that's Severus all over. Now that he realizes the kid didn't betray him, he has to find something else to scold him about and Harry provided him with the perfect excuse . . .he's not taking care of himself. Thanks for reading and just wait till you see what happens next!
Author's Response: You're right! That Binding Cuff is very evil and you should be suspicious about Umbridge. I'm glad you dropped by to review, please continue doing so! Thanks! |
