    Wow1 I loved the way Freedom tried to help the DA and everything. I also liked how Sev comforted Hagrid. brilliant! But I hope nothing bad happens to Severus.

    Author's Response: Thanks! It's too bad he didn't succeed though! I'm glad you liked Severus's comfort, he really felt bad about what happened to poor Hagrid.  As for Severus, read the next chapter!

    Things are certainly getting interesting at Hogwarts! Are you going to include the twins? They're a major part of the "fight" agaist Umbridge in canon.
    I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and Umbridge confrontation with Snape...and Harry's reaction too :)

    Author's Response: Yes, they will be showing up eventually.  The next one has been posted and it's very intense! Lots of Umbridge threatening Snape and Harry too!

    OOh that Umbridge! She needs to die. I loved how Severus handled Harry though, he did a good job, even if Harry didn't like it much. Then again, kids aren't supposed to like getting grounded. Update soon!

    oh wow. Wow oh wow! What a delightful twist and set of circumstances you have created! Poor Hagrid. I'm so glad that he's handling it okay though, and that he got Severus to calm down about it too - Severus will need his cool because he's next! What a mess. I hope that Harry will be able to reveal himself and still be accepted by Severus.

    Good job incorporating canon events into your story! All of the characters are spot on! Very good job.

    I really liked how Severus punished Harry after Draco's complaint. I love that he's willing to "ground" Harry!Hawk in order to protect him, and I'm glad that Harry seems to have realized this, and got through it okay.

    Fantastic chapter and great story development! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

    Thanks.  I felt bad about Hagrid, but at least he knows that he's not to blame and that he has what matters most, friends and a home.  You're right, Severus will need all his control to face down Umbridge.

    That's one of the hard parts about writing an AU, trying to decide what parts fit or don't fit in there and I'm glad I managed to do it right.

    Yes, that was one thing that they had to address, since Harry's SO impulsive and really needs boundaries, but I didn't want Severus to go overboard, so what he did to just seemed right, firm but not cruel, and Harry realized that he needed it and has started to accept Snape's authority a little.

    Always glad to share a story and thanks for reading!

    BITCH!!! I wish someone would just throw the toad off the Astronomy Tower!! She needs to DIE!!!

    Why can't the elves get involed in the overthrow of Umbridge?
    She is not the Headmaster. They don't have to obey her!

    Yes, she does and she will get hers eventually!

    Well, she is in charge of the school and since she is, they are technically bound to obey a wizard if he or she dwells in the castle, at least that's my interpretation of their oath.  Plus, she's horrid and probably delights in punishing them or making them punish themselves.     I love how you're using Umbridge to even greater levels than in OOTP. She's so awful, it's easy to believe anything bad about her. And it's good to see Snape's dislike of her as well.

    I know and I love making her into a villain you love to hate.  She really is as bad as a DE and Snape hates her because he knows it and she's so righteous and so phony it makes him ill.  At least Voldy never pretended to be anything but evil.  Umbridge though . . .

    Isn't Harry getting tired of being an Animagus. Ew! And what he has to eat! Yuk!

    Ok, I'll try to be patient. I want Harry to become a human, I'm just dying to see Sev's reaction. Well, I am and I'm not. I'm scared too. But I'm hoping that he'll not react too badly.

    Well, yes and no.  Harry likes the freedom of being an Animagus--no curfew, no school, and he can prank Umbridge to death.  And yes, some of what he has to eat does sound gross to a person, but as a hawk, it tastes and looks delicious.  But I'd never touch it as a person.

    Yes, a few hours a night, LOL! Yup, I'm known for them!

    Harry will become human next chapter and then you can see how they react.  And I've updated it so . . .go read!
