    That was a nice chapter--I enjoyed the Lily/Sev scenes a lot, especially the kiss and the extra Lily/Sev/Tuney childhood scenes. It was nice to see Eileen having a part in making Sev and Lily potioneers too.

    I'm kind of curious about the following statement: "I came back for her and she forgave me for everything and I swore to protect her son and it was not enough! Always too little too late! The last sight her eyes ever saw was the damned Dark Lord." I'm just curious as to when this happens in your timeline; how close is it to when Lily is killed? I find it very interesting that Sev has promised to protect Lily's son before she dies. I hope you expand on how Sev dealt with the fact that she married James because I think that would be a major area of tension between the two if they were to make up. Sev will always see Lily as that perfect witch who got away from him and I think they'd have a bit of a hard time making up because of it at that point in time. It does make me happy though, as I always thought that people who were friends for such a long time would have a hard time parting ways forever like that. I think they could have easily made up if they put a little effort into it and I'm glad you've went that route with this fic.

    Good work with this chapter--I'm still really looking forward to the moment when Snape finds out who Harry really is!

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

    That's something that will be brought up in a future chapter, because of course, Severus does resent her for marrying his arch rival.  She forgives him a few months before they are betrayed, it takes Voldy a few years before he actually pieces together the prophecy to the point where he's certain he should act upon it.  Before that he's too busy killing and gaining power to study the prophecy closely, but once he does . . .and I agree with you about how abruptly Lily broke it off with Severus, over a slip of the tongue and the fact that he was hanging around with some not so nice people.  That would have made me mad for a time, but once my friend apologized, I'd accept it and then try and help him see what a big mistake he was making and offer my own friendship in compensation.  But then, I'm a forgiving sort of person.

    That moment is coming, in about two to three more chapters.

    Oh my Word!!!!

    I can't believe it! It was a fake prophecy all along?!
    I love this twist. It is so wonderful and original.
    Dumbledore is in really big trouble now. ;-}
    I always wondered why Dumbledore seemed to do little to nothing about Umbrige "taking over" the school. This really gives a little more background to it.
    So Severus took wizarding law huh? It would be interesting to know why. Did he need it because he was going to do/had done his mastery and he would be creating new potions and needed to know how to get copyrights? I would love to see that little bit of history expanded. ;-}

    I loved Fawkes, I hope that he will make another appearance in the story. ;-}

    About the sequels, I understand about having to finish one story before starting to work on another. I just wanted to ask. ;-}

    I hope you are having/had a good Easter.

    Leilia

    Author's Response:

    Great, I'm glad you liked my twist, it came upon me all of a sudden.

    Yes, Harry is very PO'd at Dumbles right now, and Albus better watch out.

    Yes, Severus did take some law classes, you'll find out more about that a little later.  Fawkes might make a repeat appearance when necessary.

    I had a great easter, thank you!  Hope you enjoy the next bit!

    I'm sitting here with my eyes wide and my mouth hanging open....I didn't see that happening. So will Freedom tell Sev he's Harry?

    Author's Response: Well, not just yet.  There a few more things Freedom needs to learn about Severus himself and he still wants to try and help his friends beat Umbridge, but there will come a time when he has to reveal himself. In about three chapters, if I stick to my original plan. Hope you like the next part!

    Yum, tasty bag of secrets - I certainly haven't heard that angle on the Prophecy before, very original! I LOVE Fawkes, I think he's my favourite so far. Is it wrong of me to sympathise with Dumbledore as much as Harry? Well, anyway, I'm sure that's just testament to your writing skills. Great last few chapters and I'm very glad I caught up again - can't wait for the next one though!

    Author's Response: Oh good, i wasn't sure if someone had done that before.  Fawkes popped up one day and said 'put me in here, Harry needs me' and I was like 'okay' and so here's the wise phoenix.  No, Dumbledore deserves a bit of sympathy too--he made a dreadful error in judgment, both past and present, and it may never be forgiven by the two it affects most--Snape and Harry.  I've just posted the Sev/Lily chapter, BTW!

    Awesome!! I really like how Fawkes knows that Freedom is Harry. Very, very cool.

    Author's Response: Thanks, I loved writing Fawkes, he was a last minute addition to the chapter that I think worked really well.  I'll need to go and review your chapter now!

    Oh! Poor Harry! The dark can be a scary place..but sometimes, when the light is shed, you find the darkness was actually better....I can't wait to see what happens next!

    Author's Response: True, but well, you'll see how it all works out! Thanks for reading!

    Yipes, i am amazed that Freedom didn't take a bite out of Dumbledore. Maybe he is learning self control.

    Author's Response: He certainly is trying! Though I wouldn't blame him if he did.
