    Aww great chapter! I love how you got Freedom to remember who he was and hope that he can reconcile his feelings about Snape. And now I can read the next one too!

    I'm glad that Freedom is getting more of Harry's memories and now knows who he really is. But poor Snape.

    He's going balmy worrying about his poor familiar who's going balmy worrying about how to tell his black protector/hated professor the truth.

    No matter how he does it, Severus is going to see it as a betrayal I fear. Even with the amnesia aspect. And the longer Freedom waits the more of a betrayal it'll feel to Sev.

    I always wondered why Albus allowed the Ministry and Umbridge so much leeway in his school. The school has it's own governing body so why allow the militia (for that's what they are in many ways) in to take over the school?

    I guess that's my own way of saying that I'm looking forward to finding out what Dumbledore's secret is. And of course everything else that you want to share with us next chapter. :-)

    Author's Response: You're right, it's goign to be hard for Severus to not see it like that, he'll be flipping out thinking that here's another one who has invaded his privacy and worse, he was the one who TOLD Harry about himself. You can find out the answer to that question next chapter which I've just posted.

    Wheee! Freedom's not gonna be able to keep much of a leash on his beak for long...! He'd better find a way to break it gently (and what an oxymoron *that* saying is!) before he finds himself just blurting it out! Heh. Maybe he can lead into it by first questioning Snape about the man's treatment of Harry Potter--he could certainly use the excuse of having heard things from students as he's flying about the castle, and Snape might be able to explain to Freedom what he'd never be able to explain to anybody else. At least--BEFORE he learns who Freedom IS...then through discussion of why Snape ought not do that, end up mentioning he's...er..."found" Potter. Who had amnesia. Then after five seconds of dead silence, the Owlry *and* the Forbidden Forest would empty of every mobile creature as they all took off for a safer area and students and faculty alike shivered in wide-eyed fear as the dreaded Snape-bomb goes off...! ::evil anticipatory chuckle::

    Hmmm. I'm getting *really* curious about Dumbledore's secret. ::hunkering down to wait for next chapter's revelation::

    he could do that, if he thought about it, but you know Harry...he's much more likely to lose it and just reveal himself unwittingly, and then everyone will be running for the hills.

    Poor Freedom! And poor Sev! So confusing for him. And he's sacrificing his health to the potion so he can communicate with Freedom. And Harry doesn't even realize it...

    Author's Response: He is and you're right, Harry doesn't realize it . . .yet.  A lot will be happening in the next few chapters though.  So be prepared!

    Glad you cleared up that bit about Oliver - threw me for a loop. Hope Harry/Freedom gains back his equilibrium in front of Snape. They are needed together.

    Author's Response: Yeah, I should have mentioned in the notes there was a reason why Ollie was back.  You're right, they are needed together.  Now you can check out the next chapter, which reveals a long kept secret.

    Harry is so cute, snuggling down in Snape's afghan...I liked his resolution to stay as Freesom until he feels better. Harry, as a teenager, has far too much weight on his shoulders, and I feel he could use the time he spends as a hawk to think about his life (maybe even try to deal with his abuse at the Dursleys'). I'm looking forward to the next chapter and the information Freedom learns from Dumbledore.

    Author's Response: Isn't he though? I liked that image too! Yes, he does have too much pressure on him and it's slowly killing him.  Being  ahawk is saving his sanity and maybe once he can tell Severus the truth, he might be able to come to terms with some of his past.

    Great chapter!!! Pooor Harry, now he's all confused and angry and there's not a lot he can do to resolve it as he is. What a mess! Great development! Love the conflict. Thanks for the update and I can't wait to see what Dumbledore's revelation is.
