yes and I also agree with Poppy as well. I loved how she took care of Severus. He needs someone like her and Hagrid too! Freedom was great! I should think so, Freedom seems to love being with Snape.

Author's Response: He does and he's lucky they aren't afraid to help him, given his temper.  Freedom does love Sev, and that will be of much help when he finally allows Sev to see who he really is.

I would have to say it is, almost a big brother/little brother type of bond.

Author's Response: Yes, it's quite like that.  And they really do need each other.

Yep, Harry and Sev really are a lot alike--the main difference is the type of mask that they wear. Underneath those masks they are nearly identical.

Love Hagrid and Poppy and Defensive Freedom.

    More soon please!
    V.

    Author's Response:

They certainly are, and thanks for noticing.

Hagrid and Poppy are really cool here and so is Freedom.

Wai till you see Freedom fly.

Great chapter! I agree with Hagrid, yes, and Poppy is great here. As for the question about their bond...it is obviously strong enough, considering how he summoned Trixie to save Severus. But I most definitely look forward to reading it anyhow!

Author's Response: Great and the bond is strong, very strong.  But will it be able to remain that way?

Phew! I'm glad that Severus is healed. Hagrid is a big softie, isn't he? I love how Poppy tries to be so firm but deep down she's really worried about Severus.

That's a clever password for Sev's quarters. I hope that Freedom comes back to Sev once he's let free.

I'm still so anxious for Harry to become human again, and to see Sev's reaction. I hope that it will be soon! :)

    Author's Response:

Yup, that's for sure.  She really does care for him, and he needs that, howeve rmuch he complains about it.

Glad you liked the password, i figured it fit him.

Harry still needs his lost memories back and also to learn a few other things before he consents to become himself again.  And as for Sev's reaction, God help them both!

Yes. Animals, my own that is, always make me feel better when I'm sick. I especially like it when my cat purrs. Poppy was awesome and I'm glad she's taking care of Severus along with Hagrid and Harry Freedom.

Author's Response: Me too! I love it when cats purr.  And I agree with you about Poppy, Sev needs all the help he can get.

Awww!! great chapter! I really enjoyed Poppy and Hagrid in this chapter. :) They were in character, and it was nice to see people taking care of Severus. Harry is pretty cheeky. I hope that Severus gets better soon so that he can bond with his familiar some more.

Thank you for the update! Fantastic story!

Author's Response: Thanks! I wanted to show here that Severus does have some friends and allys among the staff besides Dumbledore.  Harry can be very cheeky and being Freedom gives him the "freedom" to express himself in ways he wouldn't normally.  Severus will be mending soon in the next chapter, and Freedom will as well.  Next is Freedom's first flight!

Good job with Poppy. Usually I'm rather on the fence about her as she should have been able to see the differences in Harry at the beginning of each school year. *shrugs*

I'm also enjoying your portrayal of Hagrid. I think you're showing his kind-heart in such a good manner. And yes, of course he would believe that a familiar would be some of the best medicine there is.

Looking forward to reading more of your great tale.

    Author's Response:

I like Poppy, I think JKR didn't give her enough a role to play when it came to Harry's health needs.  Especially given the amount of danger he was put in.  Most  of the doctors I know would have raised holy hell if they had to keep patching up a kid as often as Harry.  I wonder if bording schools require yearly physicals? I'm from the US and a yearly physical is mandatory until high school, and even then you need one for certain extra curricular activites, like sports.  Since Harry plays Quidditch, I'd think he'd need one, but it was never brought up in canon.

Anyway, my Poppy is a dragon when it comes to her patients, no matter how old they are, she wants to protect them, even from themselves.

I really love Hagrid, he would make a great animal rehab guy or someone who runs a place for endangered species and stuff, I think that part was kind of missing in the books, I would have liked to see more done with magical creatures, like how wizards interact with them and use them to help them, besides just the owls and the kids' pets, I mean.

Another great chapter. I really like how this is developing. I like that Harry is still a ways away from knowing who he is. Maybe that will give Severus time to really get to know him. Keep up the fine writing.

Author's Response: He is, and Severus will have enough time to learn a bit about Harry's former life and Harry will learn a bit more about everything before circumstances force him to change back into human form.
