Reviews For Suffering
Virtual hugs, kisses, and chocolate frogs, JMG Author's Response: Lol, your enthusiasm makes me extremely happy! I'm glad you've been enjoying the story! Thanks for reading! -P.G.
If Ron is beening such an AS*& that everyone is staying away from, then he is acting true to form. He always was an AS&*. Thank the stars someone realized that Snape would have prepared for that snake bit. To not have something on him to take care of the injury would have been the act of an idiot - and Snape wasn't an idiot. looking forward to more. Author's Response: Yes, time really doesn't heal everything. Albus' avoidance of the situation isn't really helping either though; I'm not even sure if he's really grieved his loss or not, since he puts forth so much effort to avoid his problem. Poor guy. I'm glad you think my Ron is realistic. I didn't think time would mature him in this way--he's still a total dick in certain situations and I think a lot of his friends are avoiding him because they can't put up with his attitude all the time. The snake thing in J.K.'s book irritated me too. I'm 100 percent certain that Snape isn't the first person Voldemort had Nagini attack and I'm sure that Snape would have been prepared for this possibility. He's a smart guy and he's always known that he could be found out at any time--I think he'd be prepared for that eventuality! Grr. Thanks for reading--I appreciate your support! -P.G.
I hope that Harry can move on with his life, and that he is forgiven. Hasn't he suffered enough guilt? Author's Response: I like to picture Snape as one of those old guys who just says whatever he likes because nobody's opinion really matters to him anymore (except he's really been like that his entire life, LOL). I do feel bad that I'm making everyone sad with this--when I started writing it, I didn't realize it was going to be such a tragedy. I'm glad you are still enjoying the piece though, despite all of the sad content. Harry has suffered enough guilt, but the only person who can make him let it go is himself. While I won't tell you the outcome of the fic, I do think he'll take Snape's advice to heart, just like Albus has. Thanks for reading! Your continuous excitement about this story is a big encouragement to me! -P.G.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks for reading. I do feel quite badly for Snape and his lack of control with his Legilimency powers. I'm sure that is a big blow for him, though he certainly isn't going to talk to Harry about how upset he is over it. It's all a part of getting old for him though. Thanks again for supporting my writing! -P.G.
I felt like Albus, sitting on that floor, listening in on the conversation. One of the things I was so very happy about is that Snape got to have a life post Hogwarts. Yay! The scene of Ginny's death was written so vividly that the horror of it was just palpable. I can now feel some real sympathy for Lily; I really hope they can bring their family together again. Thanks for the new chapter, P.G. It was SO worth the wait. Author's Response: Thanks for your wonderful compliments, Cathy. You've made me feel very good about this story and I'm really glad you're enjoying it. I was actually a bit concerned at having so much dialogue here without descriptions of what was going on. However, I really don't think Harry and Severus would have been as open if Albus was there with them. Also, every Harry Potter fic needs a little eavesdropping! It's one of those staples in J.K.'s writing that just keeps happening over and over. I'm glad you liked that part. Ginny's death was rather depressing, but I'm glad you found some sympathy for Lily. Like Albus, she just wants to forget it ever happened and having been there herself, I think she has every right to be horrified about what happened. My lips are sealed about the fate of the family, but you'll definitely get some hints next chapter. Thanks again for reading, Cathy; your comments have put a smile on my face. -P.G.
Looking forward to the next chapter! Author's Response: Thanks! Severus' advice is a lot easier said than done, but I think it is doable and hopefully over time our boys will recover a bit. Thanks again for reading! -P.G.
Author's Response: Hi, thanks for reading! I'm glad you like it, despite all of the sorrow. Harry will get a chance to meet Snape--next chapter, in fact, so stay tuned! -P.G.
Author's Response: Thanks--I'm glad you enjoyed it and are curious about the next part! I'll try and update soon! -P.G.
I love how the story slowly unfolds, how we are getting to know characters that were briefly mentioned in canon. Good Job! Adding to my favorites. Author's Response: Thanks for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate my story's flow. I always have to double check everything to make sure I haven't given too much away before it's time. Stay tuned for more! -P.G.
