    I'm a vegetarian too, and I could smack Snape for forcing Harry to do that. I love Snape, but if I were Harry, I would stay there all night if need be, but there is no way I'd kill another mouse.

    I do think Harry would be troubled by killing the mice. Killing anything would have troubled him. I think you have Harry's personality just right. Excellent story - can't wait to read more.

    I love this chapter!! And yes, I think it's totally realistic, both that Snape might make him do it and that Harry would be upset. Well done. :-)

    I like this chapter!! I really like how Harry comes clean about the potions. It was very Gryffindor. :-)

    Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I wasn't going to write it that way at first but just have Snape find out. Then I started writing about Harry feeling like it was hanging over him and it occured to me that he might come clean...

    i think its realistic that harry is upset about killing mice especially because he is doing it on purpose and he knows that he really doesnt want to do it.

    Snape does seem a little bit horrible forcing him to do this but harry needs to learn that he cant just try out curses on people with out understanding the consequences.

    you've written this chapter really well, the only thing is that i want to read more!!! =D

    Good, I'm glad you think it's realistic, on one hand people kill mice in traps every day and at Hogwarts they constantly have to cut up horrible things in potions lessons - so I didn't want to make Harry seem too much of a wimp. But as you say the fact he's doing the spell deliberately despite knowing what effect it will have...

    Yeah Snape is a bit horrible at times. I still love the git though. Craziness I tell you.

    Love the story! Stay true to your own ideas about Snape and what he would do. I think you write a very real Snape and his harsh actions towards Harry ring true to his character.

    I hope you don't think he gets too soft in the next chapter then, there's one bit in the middle which might be a little mushy before he reverts to normal...

    You write Snape very well,and him grabbing Harry like that is totally in character.

    Poor Harry though, riling Snape up like that is not a good idea!

    Great chapter. Can't wait for more.

    Author's Response: Yeah technically him grabbing Harry and leaving a bruise would count as abuse in the UK, but it was unintentional... glad you thought it was IC. Harry can't ever seem to stay out of trouble, try as he might! :( Thanks for your review.

    That was a really good chapter! I definitely think you got a lot of what Harry was thinking and I think it all seemed really realistic. Harry's 'favouritism' observation was very real. This was my favourite line:

    Harry shrugged. ‘I’ve been in Gryffindor until about five minutes ago.’

    ‘And yet curfew was fifteen minutes ago.’ Snape observed drily.

    I can imagine the expression on his face as he said it!! Can't wait for the Harry-Malfoy showdown (and Snape's reaction!!) and I really can't wait for the next chapter because it was a cliffie *sobs* and I really want to see what Harry says!

    Good -I'm glad it seemed to show what's going through Harry's head.

    Yes -it'll be interesting to have Snape trying to deal appropiately with Harry & Malfoy. No ones gonna like the outcome...

    Ah the cliffie - Snape's not gonna be a happy bunny. At all.

    Oh...bad, bad, bad. Very bad. Bad plan. Dumb Harry. Wow. Much fun though. :-) I like how Nott woke Harry and the issues with Connor. Much good. :-)

    Yeah what Harry tried to do to Draco was pretty dumb and Snape is gonna be less than impressed.

    The Connor stuff is just going on in the background at the mo but we'll find out more about him soon...
