Reviews For My Enemy's Enemy
I refuse to believe Sirius is dead by the way, even if you don't add a twist that he is really okay (which I'm still hoping you will) in my mind I will have a nice happy ending. Even though if you don't have a Sirius-lives ending I expect you will have a happy Snape-Harry-Guardian ending which would be sweet too. Ohhhh, wonder what is going to happen "tomorrow"!!! Like Snape's guilt by the way and his very Slytherin 'let-someone-else-take-the-rap-with-old-Voldie-ploy'. I seem to like -'s today, how annoying. Can't wait for the next chapter! I have to actually WAIT now *sobs* Pressing the "next" button was so much better. Author's Response: Yes apart from actually attacking Harry Snape probably couldn't have hurt him any more if he'd tried. Not very nice and he wasn't even trying to be particularly nasty. So quite an achievement really. I did consider having Snape know the perfect spell to repair the broomstick but thought that would be too easy on him. Ah Sirius... I've had a few reviews requesting alternately for him to be stay dead/turn out to be alive... I won't say too much other than to say that a degree of uncertainity about Sirius' fate will play a part in following chapters. That doesn't necessarily mean that he will end up being alive however... we will have to wait and see how it unfolds. Whatever happens you can be assured that you will find out more about what he was trying to do and it will play a part in the plot - he hasn't just gone off to Ireland to get him out of the way so Harry and Snape can be forced to spend time together! He he I get that with '-' sometimes or italics or occasionally particular words which creep into a paragraph repeatedly :)
That's such a short review, but it just sums everything up. It's natural and...real. Author's Response: Thank you and again thanks so much for taking the trouble to do so many reviews. It really makes a difference to me and I'm getting close to the magic 50 reviews point. (Not quite sure why that's magic lol but it seems like a huge milestone to me!)
Author's Response: Thank you so much. You're right- this was a bit of a nightmare because I couldn't decide if Snape was reacting too harshly or softly... It was this chapter that 1st gave me the idea for this fic actually because I was thinking about how Snape might react and thought it would be an interesting starting point (although it's actually taken me ages to get to this point lol)
Author's Response: Yeah everything else goes out the window when it comes to the people Harry cares about! He just can't help himself.
Author's Response: I think Harry would hate to see anyone suffering, particularly if he felt in some way responsible for it. It gives Harry a bit of an insight into the strain Snape is living under all the time living his double life. It says a lot that it didn't even occur to Snape that Harry would have been worried for him...
Author's Response: Thank you:) Yes at this point Harry is certainly behaving himself...
Author's Response: Thank you so much for all your reviews! It really encourages me to keep writing:) Yes I'm going to try and keep Snape from getting soft at any point in the story if I can avoid it. He'll always be capable of acting like a complete git in my eyes, although he has some crucial redeeming qualities.
Great chapter, I'm anxious to know too what's going to happen tomorrow! :) Author's Response: Thanks for the review:) Yes Snape can still be a right git when he wants to be can't he? I did consider having Snape know the right spell to repair it but decided that would be too easy. He feels guilty now and that's only going to increase... A key part of the plot's coming up in the next chapter... watch this space :)
There are a few scattered grammar and spelling mistakes throughout the story, but the one I keep spotting is "Gryffindor" misspelled with two "Y"s. Anyway, good luck and keep writing. Author's Response: Thank you :) I hope I still manage to keep Snape in character in the next chapter. He is alternating between 'Harry' and 'Potter' all the time depending on his mood at the time but I hope this doesn't just seem confused!! Yes my spelling is atrocious I'm afraid - you don't even want to know the state this fic would be in without spell check sorting some of them out! I promise I will go through and sort some of these out at some point soon. I just don't want to forget what I'm planning to write in the next chapters by holding off on writing them if that makes sense...
I liked this one. I liked how Dumbledore explained to Snape how Harry must be feeling, to keep him from becoming too angry with him. And yeah, I can't really think of much more to say about this one, but great writing and I can't wait to read the next one :) Author's Response: Cheers. Yeah the chat with DD wasn't even gonna be part of it but just wrote itself really. There will be more of him in the next chapter or two :) Thanks for reviewing:) |
