Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
keep up the good work! Author's Response: Thanks! We'll have to wait and see if Harry comes around, but I'm sure he'll need energy to put up a fight and that'll be an advantage for Sev.
Author's Response: Thanks! Sev's had a hard life, but I'm sure if Harry comes around Sev will reap the benefits of having a son. It might even make him *gasps* happy.
Aw, that was too cute, him falling asleep while on the bathroom floor, in Sev's arms. I can't wait for the next chappie Author's Response: It might take Harry some time, but I'm sure he'll come around. He has every right to throw a little tantrum. Severus' choice caused him to suffer no matter how noble Sev's intentions may have been. I'm glad you liked that last little bit. It probably wasn't Harry's attentions to fall asleep on Sev since he's mad at him, but I'm afraid his exhaustion caught up with him. Thanks!
Snow...if I could, I would! We've been cold enough too (which is rare) and still nothing! Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the story. It's really just a distraction. *Cough while I should be working on my original fiction novel cough* Uh yeah. That's not going so well. lol. Harry needs to be upset. If he wasn't, it would be rather unbelievable and he needs to show his emotions instead of bottling them up. He is going through so much, but I do have happier scenes in mind once we get there.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad to hear you liked it.
Fantastic job on the story and on this chapter. Thanks so much for the update!!! Author's Response: You're right. I think Severus was expecting Harry's outburst, but expecting it and experiencing it is a different thing. I don't think he realized how hurt he'd be by it. Harry's outburst was essential. He's a teenager, which means he's prone to emotional outbursts just like any other teenager. Aww, yay, I'm glad to hear you liked the like "Frankly I can." The day I was writing the chapter they asked a question on Jeopardy about "Gone with the Wind" and the famous last line ("Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.") and I totally had that still in my head when I got to the end of this chapter. It just seemed right. It is interesting now that Harry has to realize and deal with someone really being in charge of him. He's never had that in his memory and at nearly sixteen, I'm sure he'll feel like he doesn't need it anymore, at least at times. Hmm, about Flurry. Perhaps if you talked to her, she could work a visit into her schedule for you. She is feeling rather ignored these days. ;) Thanks so much! I was so surprised to see your review as I wasn't sure you were still reading my story.
I have to say, I did so love those last two parts of this chapter; the sleepy conversation and Sev's pondering, as much as angst is usually what keeps a fic going it's these moments that I read for, so thanks!!! *more cookies and muffins ^-^* Hopefully your muse will come out of hiding again soon and the writing will flow again (perhaps yours is hiding with mine TT) Good luck with everything, hope life's being nice(r) ^^ *picks up homemade lollypop and leaves a cookie* thanks! Author's Response: Yay, I loved the last two parts, too. Writing the angst is fun, but the other stuff helps to develop a character and gives me a break from the angst. I can't write pure angst all the time without burning out on it. ;) Since you forgot to sign in when you reviewed on FF, I'll just reply here. *Dodges pillows and missiles* I'm on the fence as to whether Dumbledore just doesn't care or if he's simply overlooking the gravity of the situation. For the meeting with him, for once I don't think it promises to be too angsty. Sev deserves a bit of a break after the next chapter. Things are starting to depress Harry. It'll be interesting to see how he reacts at Sirius' memorial. I have some idea, but he hasn't told me everything yet. Thanks! Oh, and yes, Adrian and Tristan decided to be a bit more cooperative. *Picks up cookie*
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the chapter. I'm not really bashing Dumbledore to bash him, but to exploit his flaws that we were blinded to from reading the books exclusively from Harry's POV. He'll have some apologizing to do if he wishes to earn Sev and Harry's forgiveness.
anyways, hope you update soon! keep up the amazing work. Author's Response: lol. I think a lot of people wanted Sev to hex Dumbledore but he's a lot more subtle than that. Plus, this way he can't really be blamed for anything when he could've been blamed if he would've just started hexing Dumbledore. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks, and I'm happy to hear you paid attention to the details. Details are what make a story and I try to include ones that'll help the story rather than hinder it. |
