Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Oh, dear, I wish Harry's meeting with Ron and Hermione could have gone better, but it is very understandable how upset he would be to find out that they know about the cancer when he hadn't planned on it. Harry just isn't ready to deal with people knowing it, not because he's ashamed, I think, but because he's terrified. And who can blame him. It is a pretty scary thing. But thank goodness Severus was there for him, and he hugged Harry! Great moment there. I hope everything will go all right tomorrow for Harry. Author's Response: Are you sure Severus just didn't want some sun? lol. ;) He's totally turning into a big softie when it comes to Harry. You're right on with how Harry is feeling. He's terrified and it hasn't fully sunk in so that he just can't deal with others knowing yet. He's overwhelmed, terrified, nervous, just a bunch of things that when mixed together is very hard to deal with, and he needs to feel somewhat in control and that control was swept out from under him when Ron and Hermione already knew. Thanks!
Author's Response: Well DD is trying to keep his vow, but I think he's twisting the vow to suit him.
OH you work on Black Friday?! Wow a killer day! I'll take Black Friday priced items instead of cookies lol. "HAAAARYY WHHY CAN'T U C...what you're doing to meee." Imagine severus singing that lol, but in a fatherly way. o.o I don't remember if it was this story but did you watch A Very Potter Musical? Author's Response: Molly's swing of emotions is rather realistic of a mother as fiery as she is. She was scared and when you're also upset, emotions wise a person's actions can wind up all over the place. Perhaps you're just siding completely with Severus and that's why she kinda made you mad. ;) Black Friday actually wasn't too horrible to work since I worked the opening shift. It's so busy that it goes by super fast and then you get to leave and let others pick up the mess. lol. I've watched parts of "A Very Potter Musical," but haven't made it all the way through. Thanks!
And oh my, oh my, Albus may expect something explosive when Severus finds out, but I'm sure he's not expecting it so soon - and not during an Order meeting. Whoo-wee, this is going to be interesting. Good luck next week at work. Try to keep smiling and remember that Black Friday only comes once a year! Author's Response: Molly is never one to just sit and listen when she's riled up so Severus resorted to using a tactic I'm sure he's used with a student before. You're right with Albus not expecting Sev to find out so soon. I'm sure the Order is in for a meeting they never saw coming. Thanks for the good luck. I'll definitely need it on Saturday night when I'm closing and ready to kill people for making huge messes. lol.
Author's Response: I'm sure Albus will be the one surprised at the Order meeting, and he doesn't know what awaits him. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! I enjoyed writing Lily's letter and concentrating on Sev's journey in that chapter.
And I'm a northerner who pronounces it PEA-can, as in my favorite kind of pie. Yum-yum! Author's Response: *Hands over a large bag of pecans* We have a ton from our tree. lol. I'm glad you liked the little tweaks. I needed to do something to make it plausible and that was the thing I thought of. I'm sure Harry will be surprised when he finds out.
There, maybe now they won't have 5 interceptions in one game next time. Author's Response: Thanks! I hope you enjoy the rest of the story so far. There's a few twists and turns ahead of you so hold on. ;) Yay, another Bears fan! That last game was brutal to watch, and to think I sacrificed watching Grey's to watch the game. Ugh. They need to have a good game on Sunday to prepare for facing the Vikings the next week.
Author's Response: Thank you! I can't promise when the next chapter will be posted, but my fest fic turned into a one-shot of a forgotten moment from this story when Harry was a baby which I hope you'll enjoy.
Author's Response: You're very welcome. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying my story. I'm really glad you're enjoying the characterization because that's really the heart of this story. Sev will certainly stand up to Dumbledore next chapter, and I'm sure Molly will get her turn sometime in the future as well. Thanks! |
