Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Author's Response: I hope the glow stick bracelet at least softened the blow of having to wait. ;) You're welcome.
Author's Response: But cliffies are sometimes essential. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed the more relaxed chapter. Our characters needed a little reprieve. Harry hasn't revealed to me how he'll react once Severus tells him, so I'm not sure if he'll cut him some slack or not. It'll probably depend on how and when Sev tells him. You're right by thinking Molly seeing Harry first will lessen the blow to his friends. Right now Harry's uncomfortable in his own skin and scared at his friends' reactions. Although he's starting to come to terms with his cancer, and I have his "reunion" with his friends planned out. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm sure Molly has a lot to say. I just hope she'll be able to calm down around Harry and not go overboard in coddling him. ;)
Author's Response: Aww, yay. I hope you liked it. ;)
You evil girl you. How could you make us wait to see Harry's reaction. Is Severus going to tell Dumbles? Is he going to tell everyone? How else is he going to veto any decision that Dumbledore makes if he doesn''t tell him that he is Harry 's father. Love it love it love it...Well, you get the picture! Please update soon. Oh, and thanks for the cool jack-o-lantern and glow stick bracelet. They go well with my witch's hat and pumpkin earings! Hee hee! Author's Response: Molly was obliviated, remember? ;) Sev will let Dumbledore know in his own way, don't worry about that. I think the Order meeting will leave many people confused. Yay, you loved the chapter. Yes, I know I was evil, but really Molly and Sev's subsequent conversation and the Order meeting are a completely different tone than this chapter, so it was a good place to end it. Thanks!
Author's Response: I think Sev shares in your sentiment of the germ thing. lol. I went to a kids dentist/orthodontist in my teens. He was amazing, and I miss him as my dentist so much. lol. I had to make him trip to WCS a little fun. He couldn't have just walked in and seen someone right away. ;) He had to suffer around a room full of kids first. lol. Thanks!
Author's Response: Severus may be going soft on Harry, but he's still Severus, bat of the Hogwarts dungeons to everyone else. Harry is totally going to need it, and yes, you'll see Ron and Hermione next chapter. Thanks!
I'm so happy that Severus is warming up to Harry, albeit slowly. I particularly liked the line where Severus thought that Harry could have anything he wanted at that moment. And the mural is awesome! It sounds so peaceful and relaxing. Now, what is on Dumbledore's mind? Author's Response: Thanks, Kristeh! That chapter was one of my favorites to write. It was so fun imagining Harry's room, especially the mural. I wanted Harry to have a calm, peaceful place for his upcoming treatments, and while Severus is used to the dungeons, Harry isn't and could easily become depressed stuck underground. This way he has a little piece of the outdoors. Yes, Severus is warming up to Harry. How could he not? There's just something about Harry that makes you like him. I'm so happy you loved all the details. It's great to hear that you could really see things in your mind. :)
What position does the Prince family hold in the Wizarding World that everyone reacts to Severus' identity the way they do? Don't worry about the chapter being too long (though I'm sure you were wondering as you wrote it if you'd ever finish it). It was a most excellently written chapter and I'm growing more and more intrigued with the stuff that went on in the past and in the background. Bravissimi! I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. Dancingkatz Author's Response: Thanks! I picture the Prince family as an old wealthy pureblood family, and as such holds a somewhat distinguished place in society, or rather a very distinguished place before Sev's parents decided to throw their own coup d'etat concerning wizarding traditions and how purebloods were supposed to act and live. Even so, I imagine the Prince name to become somewhat of an enigma in the wizarding world since Sev kinda disappeared. I'm sure there's many crazy rumors about where he went to. It wasn't really so much as wondering if I'd ever finish it, but I couldn't believe how long Lily's letter became. I expected it to be around 500 words, and I think it came in around 2,000! She just had lots and lots to say. I'm happy to hear you like hearing about the stuff that went on in the past and in the background because I'm sure there's more to surface.
Yum, pecans--my favourite kind of nut. Does Sev like them? If he does, maybe you should save them for him. :) Excellent job! Author's Response: Yay, you liked Severus' altered appearance. As much as I love Alan Rickman, he looks way older than Hogwart's youngest professor who's in his 30s, especially since wizards and witches live longer so I expect they age slower. I don't think Dumbledore steered Sev away from skipping breakfast in the Great Hall. Sev is really a solitary person, and i can totally see him wishing to get away from Albus and his lemon confections at the first chance he got. An interesting idea with the owls, but I truly think the owls got lost on their own. I picture the dungeons as a confusing maze and although owls are very smart, I think the dungeons even confuse people. Sev hasn't told me if he likes pecans or not. Perhaps he'll cook something that contains them. We'll have to wait and see. ;) Thanks! |
