Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Author's Response: Yay, I caught you by surprise. It'll be interesting to see what Sev does with the information. That Order meeting though is that night... Thanks!
Thanks for the chapter, I wait impatiently for the next one ;-) Author's Response: You have to excuse Sev for the moment. He's a little frazzled, and I don't think that little spell has crossed his mind although whether that's the reason behind this new revelation you'll just have to wait and see. Remember that little inventory Dumbledore had Snape sign? Think on that and you might get your answer... Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! It's totally research based with a little help from my friend who's a nursing student. I'm sorry to hear about your father. It's so rare to hear of males having breast cancer, and I'm assuming that 15 years ago it was even rarer.
With his eyes closed, Severus turned around. He could do this. It was only a matter of opening his eyes and determining if the color before him was red or black. Any four-year-old could read the results. There was no mistaking the two colors, and he knew he had brewed the potion perfectly. Mustering up courage, enough to confuse the Sorting Hat to put him into Gryffindor, Severus opened his eyes, unprepared for the results before him. Red.” That whole section was simply AMAZING! I can see Snape worried about Harry’s trust and his regret at having had his son grow up at the stupid Dursley’s house. I think, although it will be a tough road, I think that Harry will forgive him, after all Snape has done for him whilst not knowing he was his Dad. Yes, he treated Harry awful for five years, but he’s changed and I think even if Harry struggles with it, he will turn to him again. Oh and that last word, “red,” really sent a shiver down my back, though I had guessed that was going to happen. Severus will probably “hate” himself though, knowing how bad he treated his son and even though unknowingly, allowing him to grow up unloved by his relatives. Hmm…I think Snape will have some “investigating to do, starting from the only one who trusted him when Harry was a baby (Dumby) and then I wouldn’t want to be him (I still have my wand trained on him) or the Dursley’s, I can imagine when it’s time for revenge, Snape won’t be “gentle.” LOL. Oh and then an Order meeting that very night, I wonder who will watch Harry and also I question what the Order meeting could be about. Also, I hope that the truth (the truth that Harry DOES have cancer) comes out in spectacular fashion. The Order, well certain members and students deserve to know the truth, not that I believe that Hermione would take Mrs. Weasley’s declaration for fact, I think that if anyone, she’d figure out the truth from lies. Well, I’m getting ahead of myself, I don’t even know if Hermione will even be there, but she does spend a lot of time with the Weasleys. I’m still curious about Ron and Hermione’s letters to Harry, but understand that Severus hasn’t had a lot of time to peruse through his “son’s” post. I hope that Remus make an appearance soon, he’d be devastated about Harry, having only lost his best friend a few months prior and learning that his other late best friend’s “son,” has a dreaded, deadly disease. Well, I think that should be about it now, but I hope that you update soon, though as always, I know you are busy with school and work, just today, I had a lady bring up THIRTY pieces of men’s clothing, deliberate on EACH item and pick FIVE at the register…oh well, another great chapter and I’m sure the next will be as well. Great job. :-) -Autumn Author's Response: Well, what other way would Sev trust more than a potion? The next few chapters will be interesting with the WCS letter and Order meeting... I'm happy to hear you liked how he thought it was the Weasley twins at first. They of course take the blame for everything, and it's usually their faults. Severus is totally exhausted and that won't help his temper. It's always scary seeing medical equipment hooked up to a person, and I think it worried Minerva quite a bit. I have glasses. Well, revise that statement I have a pair of glasses that have never been worn for more than five minutes, nor do I wear contacts. I have a slight astigmatism which means I can see fine without them, just don't expect me to be able to read the street sign from a few hundred feet away. I could tell you if the street had a long or short name though, but I noticed the few times I did put them on, it like does change your depth perception, and I can't imagine how much worse it would be for someone with bad vision. Ah you picked the hair thing up. I've been purposely doing that, and I wondered if anyone would notice. Good job. You're right about not wanting to be Dumbledore. Keep that wand out. ;) I think the truth will come out quite spectacularly. It definitely won't be quiet. That's for sure. Ugh, I totally hate it when customers do that. It's like dude figure it out before you get up here. I also hate when people try one twenty things, and don't get anything. Then they leave it all for you at the fitting room and they can't even be bothered to hang it up. Thanks!
Ooh...you're so naughty keeping us waiting and leaving us on a cliffie. I'll forgive you though, on one condition...if you give me a Halloween candy, and you write really fast and give us another update soon!! Great chappie, and yes, you did write it perfectly! Author's Response: Severus says he never had relations with Lily... But cliffies are entertaining. ;) No, I thought it was a good place to end the chapter because I wanted to get it posted, plus if I continued it might've been enough material for a whole other chapter tacked onto the end. Also, the emotions would somewhat conflict, atmosphere wise. *Sends Pandora a Snickers* I don't know if I'll be able to update so fast. I have a super busy weekend between work and class, and I really won't have time to sit down and write until Sunday.
I think you made a mistake I think you ment *respond* instead of repond in the letter from the ministry Author's Response: Thanks! I needed a few things to happen before this chapter could happen. Also, thanks for pointing that out. I really shouldn't revise and edit chapters at 2 am. Off to fix it right now.
Author's Response: You're in luck. We've got Snickers, Milky Ways, and caramel Twix. :) I'm glad you liked the chapter. Yes, I finally got there. I needed this revelation to be in the right place, and I wanted a few things to happen first. Sev will definitely have some answers to seek, and things are going to get interesting for a while. Thanks!
Author's Response: Has Sev been obliviated? That's an interesting thought, and I think the answer could fall either way depending on how you think about it...
Yay for shopping! Wootwoot! Lovin' the new clothes and pajamas! Yay! I like pajamas too! They're great. And they're getting on so great! XD That's gunna be helpful considering everything Harry's gunna go through. "Severus didn't tease. He scolded and rarely complimented, but never teased."- I really liked that line too. It was a classic Sev thought. No, no, sure you don't Sev, we believe you! XD Too great! Well, I really need to get ready for class, but I might have some time before I get going on the road to read later! I'll,uh, just take the snowcone and go...(I LOVE snowcones!!!!!) Thanks! Author's Response: Yay, for stupid grins on your face. I loved writing that chapter. It was a lot of fun with the shopping and the character growth that happened during it. Shopping scenes always make me smile. Harry's awkwardness is always fun to read and write about. Are you sure you need that snowcone, Ivy? I've noticed it's been quite cool up there already. Pretty soon you'll have real snow.
Author's Response: Yay, I'm glad you finally got the chapter you wanted. ;) I'm way too lazy to think of a cool latin phrase to respond to yours, but I do love the word delay in latin. It reminds me of Moria from LOTR and in Moria the fellowship was delayed. And there's your geek moment for the day. ;) |
