I want a Snape cookie! XD XD Seriously, I want one! Or...could I just have Snape ON a cookie? XD That would be VERY nice! (so times I think I need to get a life lol)

But this was so sad. Poor Harry. People would get on my nerves too. I hate it when people talk to me when I'm not in a talking mood. They are SO annoying. Poor Harry!

But yay for grading paper! I like helping teachers grade too, especially when I can add comments *evil grin* Me thinks Harry's getting a little Snape like here lol GOOD! He may need that!

But Hermione was pretty clever in a mild way. Poor Ron and Hermione though! I'd be sick to learn if my friends had cancer. But why, OH why, did they EVER go to SNAPE'S room? They should have know he wouldn't want THEM there. But heck yes for protecting Harry, Snape! Rock on!

Again, another great chapter Ella! I'm going home tomorrow night, so I'll have a WHOLE night to read as much as I want! XD Yay! So I'll leave you more reviews then, and you give me Snape cookies or Snapes on a cookie! XD Until then, have a butterbeer!

    Author's Response:

Hands Ivy a cookie with Snape on it!

People so get on my nerves, and I hate when like in a story someone is hurt or injured and like everyone and their family is crowded around the bedside of the sick/injured person. It's so cliche and like not what that person needs.

Harry needed a distraction, and I think Severus in someway hoped Harry might pick up some things he missed from it.

Ron and Hermione totally didn't know what they were thinking when it came to going to Snape's room!

Yay, for you liking this one. Thanks again!

Severus Hadrian Caius Prince? So...he's not really a Snape? He lived with Eileen and Tobias SNAPE, right? So did he just adopt the name? But seriously, Woodstock? *snickers* Poor Sev. Is he like he is BECAUSE he didn't want to be anything like his parents? That would make sense, right? But his parents sent him to live with his relatives too? How terrible! I'm sure they didn't know just how bad Sev would be treated...I hope. But they seem to be wanting to make amends. But honestly! Sev with hippy parents? That's hysterical! XD Very original! I like it!But I hope we can meet Sev's sister??? Maybe? *looks hopeful*

But poor Harry. First he gets all excited and then it all crashes and burns for him after he's sent to his room. Poor kid! I would totally freak out too with all those treatments, and I'm not afraid of needles! Poor thing! I'd be sad if my hair fell out...even though I threatened to shave it all off once...don't ask why...But poor Harry!

The last part I would sweet and ackward. Sev was being all like, "it's okay Harry, I'll be here for you through the bad. Here, let me give you a half-hug" and Harry was all like, "thanks professor, I needed that." But then Sev was like, "Yeah, but you might need to go in a corner with this cup if you wanna be a daddy some day." And I could totally see Harry's face go like, "WTF?!?!"

Sorry about that. It's already been a long day for me and it's just gunna keep on getting longer. *groans* Wednesdays are so LONG!! But this really hit the spot in a weird kinda way. So thanks!

I'll try to read more later, but it might be way later tonight. *rolls eyes* Some people just schedule me so full without thought of what I want to do later on. How rude of them! lol You can have another hug if you want for this chapter! :D

    Author's Response:

Ivy, I'm happy you like Sev's hippy parents. I messed up the parallel that's in canon between Harry and Sev's storylines, so I decided to play a bit. ;) We'll see Sev's sister eventually. She won't play a big part at all, but I have an idea or two that include her in them.

I've threatened to shave my hair off, too, multiple times. I have super, super thick, curly hair and right now it's down to my waist. People love my hair and I hate it. lol. Pretty much humidity plus my hair equals tons of frizz. I always tell people they can have a patch of my hair from somewhere in the middle of my head and I'd bet you'd never know it was missing. lol. It's a big deal for teenagers to lose their hair. Even though Harry is a boy, he's still a self-conscious teenager.

Harry is totally terrified and completely overwhelmed. He's taking on so much right now, and it's only a matter of time before he cracks.

Things will start to get really angsty from here, Ivy. There's a few lighter chapters and moments, but you'll start to really feel for Harry, so keep those Kleenex handy.

Yay, another hug! Thanks! I could use it going into working on the next chapter. I hate super busy days so I totally feel for you.

Title: Defense Against the Headmaster's Manipulations 07 Oct 2009 8:16 am

Dumbledore's just a bastard. I totally think that it was a split winning. Sev doesn't have full classes and gets rid of the kids he hates and Dumbles get Snape as the DADA. I LOVED how you made Snape not really wanting to be the DADA teacher. I never really thought he'd really want to either. I mean, didn't he get enough of it by working for Voldy? I always thought that if Snape wanted to teach DADA it was because he KNEW what would be cast at the students beside little fluffy hexes, that in his own way, he'd be useful in helping to bring the Dark Lord down. (that's how it's gunna be in my story *hint hint*)

But Snape in glasses? Way cute! And him being there for Harry? Even better! And Harry feeling cared for, ABOUT TIME! lol

Good good good good good! ^-^ I wish I could read on, but there is an evil calling to me called sleep. I'll read more tomorrow. I'm afraid I can't give you anymore points for a while though. Last chapter really depleted my stock! So, you get a friendly slap on the back and a smoothie! ^-^

    Author's Response:

Yay, for Ivy loving that Snape didn't really want to teach DADA. I don't think Sev wants to deal with students who have an opportunity to hex each other. He likes order, not chaos which can easily happen in a DADA class.

I got insider info to your story. Woohoo!

I have no idea where I came up with the idea for Sev having glasses, but I think it came up with the idea that I wanted him to have some lingering ailments/problems from being a spy for so long. It would be too unrealistic if there wasn't something that was caused by repeated exposure to the Cruciatus curse, not to mention the stress.

Sleep is evil. j/k. ;) I love sleep and I'm off to dreamland soon, too. I got like 700 more words added to the chapter I'm writing, but still about a thousand to go. I'm not sure where it'll end yet. *sighs* I'm sure you'll probably review before I get up in the morning/afternoon, and if you keep up this pace you could get to chapter 15 tomorrow which is my favorite chapter so far.

Sorry to hear you had a long day. I hate those too. *rolls eyes* I didn't WANT to stop at the one chapter, but that stupid class I had to go made me *grumble grumble* And I don't really give blood either. My iron's always low and they don't want to take it. A few weeks ago a girl did pass out at a blood drive because she was scared of needles AND blood, but she wanted to try and donate...didn't happen though.

But Sev's talk with Harry was very good. His approach to talking to him was amazing. I could see my psychology class coming to life in that section! ^-^ Very very good! My professor would be proud!

And Harry's room sounds AMAZING! I think I want that room. I love the ocean and the sea! I'm totally homesick to see the Mediterranean Sea again! I loved it so much, and I can totally understand Harry's joy of it! It really made me smile.

Speaking of smiles...Sev crawling on the floor?!?! *falls outta chair* HA! I could TOTALLY see that for some strange reason! XD And Snape yelling at Flurry? Priceless! But Flurry was really sorry to cause her daddy trouble, wasn't she? lol That was great.

But uhoh! Dumbles is back. What's he gunna say? I can't stand the wait! So I won't! Off to the next chappie!

Favorite lines: "There wasn't much despite his enjoyment of cooking. It was like potions except tastier and less explosive." "Flurry would be most displeased"- okay this line deserves ten thousand points, seriously! That is just so funny to me for some reason. It's just like, what the heck? Did Snape really just say that, using the name Flurry? LOL It was great! XD

    Author's Response:

Don't you hate classes? There were so many pointless ones I took that I ended up skipping most of them. Oops. Well, when you can get an A in a math class with only going 20% of the time because you took a math class that was similar to your algebra 2 class in high school, why go? lol. I'm a horrible example when it comes to gong to classes.

Yay, Ivy can read and study at the same time. ;) I have a friend who's bipolar among other things, so I know quite a bit about psychology, and I tend to use that knowledge in my writing.

I want Harry's room, too. Well his mural anyway. The waves and the sound of them are the only thing I like about the beach, and I live like 30 miles from it! I absolutely hate sand, not to mention even the tiniest fish freak me out. Yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to critters, creatures, etc.

I love writing that part with Snape crawling on the floor. It was fun and something you don't see ever. lol.

As for you favorite line, I know you have animals so you know that eventually you start saying things for them. I don't think even Snape can be immune from that.

Title: The Other Voldemort 07 Oct 2009 7:12 am
Reviewer: Ivy-Green (Signed) [Report This]
OMGosh! Poor Harry, not knowing what cancer is and having to relate it you Voldemort! Oh! I'm so sad for him! Poor kid! I did, however, manage to smile when Harry couldn't think of the word "Guillotine" I thought that was kinda cute.

And rock on Snape! He's being very good! Taking care of Harry like he is and being so KIND to him. And snapping at Minerva and Poppy *snickers* yes, yes, you tell them Snape! But how scary it would be that everyone's acting so differently! I would be unnerved too! I always watch how people act around me, and if they ALL started to change, I think I'd be scared too!

Oh! What are Ron and Hermione going to think? Hermione ought to know about cancer, but Ron won't. They'll go nuts! And how will they react when they know Snape's taking care of his?

And poor Lily! She had a brother? How sad! That's a brilliant way to kinda explain kinda how Harry got cancer. Poor people!

Ella, despite this being a depressing story for the most part, I must say it's really good from what I've read. I love drama, and this ought to be good.

I'm off to read more! Oh, before I go, you get a cupcake! ^-^

    Author's Response:

Poor Harry indeed. He doesn't even know what treatment entails yet. I came up with the Voldemort comparison when I was revising the chapter, and I have to say I really like it.

Sev's spy techniques are certainly coming in handy for him. They're helping him stay the rock that Harry needs right now, but even diamonds crack eventually... It's so scary and unnerving when everyone around you starts acting differently, especially when that person's a child. Kids are used to adults always being in control and when they're not, it affects them, too.

I think there's a few chapters yet before you get to Ron and Hermione's reactions, so you'll see what happens when you get there. ;)

Leukemia isn't genetic, but I put Lily's brother in there for another reason that we'll see later.

I love drama, too and can't help torturing my characters. My fest fic is actually going to be happy which is like omg weird for me. I don't think I've written a pure happy story since, well I don't remember when. lol.

A cupcake? Wow, Ivy, I don't think I need a cupcake after a cookie, but I'll pass it on to Harry for you. He certainly could use some calories.

Oh, and Roxie, my cat, says hello. She's currently laying on my lap half-asleep and making it difficult for me to type. lol. Off to your next review.

Sorry, just realized that last review, with your quote at the bottom, that was my fav! ^-^ Okay, REALLY gotta go for now! ^-^

Oh no! Poor Harry!!! Oh, I wanted to cry! But Dumbles is being not only manipulative, but a real class one Arse! It's like he doesn't even care! What a @$$%#*&^!! What's wrong with him! Geeze!

And yay for Snapers being supportive! He's been so good, and poor Harry needs someone like that right now. They're both being pushed to their limits. How sad!!

The whole procedure made me squirm. It actally made my back hurt. *shivers* I can't imagine that kind of pain. I just feel so bad for Harry! Poor kid!

Question: how do you know so much about this? I hope no one in your family had to go through this! Or did you research it?

Well, I'm off to my useless freshman class that I despise so much, but I'll read on later. You deserve a big hug! :)

He couldn't threaten to hex cancer into oblivion or chop into potions ingredients.

    Author's Response:

Dumbledore is being horrible. I always thought he wasn't as good as we saw in the books, but we must remember we always saw him from Harry's biased point of view. Opening up the point of view, allows us to see other sides of characters, and I think we would've seen Dumbledore's manipulations if Rowling had switched her POVs.

*Hands Ivy a whole box of Kleenex* You'll need to keep them handy.

Sev is being great to Harry. He just can't be an evil git to a sick child. Plus, it helps that Harry isn't up to fighting. In addition, you should know or will learn in your psychology class that often neglected children will latch on to the first adult that shows they care, and we're seeing that in Harry.

The procedure was nasty. I hate needles, and I would so freak out if I needed a bone marrow biopsy. I almost passed out the one and only time I had to get blood drawn when I was 17 because I was so freaked about it. My veins are small so when the nurse said that I totally freaked thinking it was going to be hard for her to find one, and it just meant she got to use a smaller needle. Whew. She was really good, and I barely felt it. Thankfully. *squirms* My needle fear is the main reason why I haven't donated blood. I've heard so many horror stories and seen the bruises left on people's arms from the nurses/whoever they are that work the blood drives.

It's all research. After being in college for so long, I'm really good at researching.

Yay, for line favoritisms. I love hearing what lines and parts people like.

*receives hug* I needed one after a really, really long day at work. I was supposed to get off at quarter to five and didn't get off til quarter after seven. *sighs* Now I need to go start working on my chapter some more.

PS: I can't believe you stopped at that chapter. That's like torture. lol.

Title: Strange Occurrences 06 Oct 2009 9:29 pm

HOLY CRAP!!! Leukemia?!?! Harry has Leukemia?!?! That's terrible! Oh now what's gunna happen?? What's everyone going to do? What about Harry? How's he going to get over this? I TOTALLY did not see that one coming. I thought it was going to be some spell that no one could detect, but it would wear off soon or something. NEVER thought about leukemia. OMGosh! I still can't get over that! You are good! Man!*shakes head*

But other than the ending, I liked the image of Snape as a doctor. I'd like a check up from Snape please! ;D Think you could get me in? lol No, but he's been very good so far, and now Harry's gunna have to depend on him I think.

Oh!!! I want Harry to get better! Will Snape invent a potion to help cue him? He's got the time now and all...

This was very good and I give your twenty points for the shocker at the end. *phew* (I started to yell at the computer there) And I'm off to read the next chappie!

    Author's Response:

Yay, I surprised you! I think I took everyone by surprise on that one. You'll see how it'll all start to play out as you read further. It definitely won't be Snape inventing a magic potion to cure him. That's the easy way out, and I have no intention of that. Plus this way you get a ton more angst.

Snape isn't so much a full doctor, but he has the necessary skills to do many basic things. I always envisioned he'd have some Muggle first aid skills since he survived so long as a spy. It just seems right.

Twenty points, wow! Please, don't yell at your computer too much. lol. You wouldn't want to harm it.

No Legolas OR Thranduil?!?! That's rough. I wouldda been sad too. Forget Frodo, bring out the elves! lol ;D

So, on to the real review. Let's see...hm...Sev's pretty powerful, isn't he? Wow! A big ol' 908. somethingerother That's great for him! No wonder he can be arrogent and get away with it! XD And Harry seems, seemed to be getting up there too. But why is his magic slipping? Hmmm...This is a tough one.

Oh my! Sev's scared! He's worried! He's, he's...mad at his cat? Hahaha! That's great! Poor guy, doesn't like that his kitty is sleeping on Potter. Poor guy. I'd be mad too. And now he goes to Poppy...Aww! He's so worried!
O! Now he's really scared and doesn't want to admit it. And he LIED to make HARRY feel better? *falls out of chair* Ha! He DOES have a BIG heart! HAHAHAHAHA!Poor Harry though. I feel bad for him.

My favorite line was: "Harry wonder if this were how potions ingredients felt before being chopped up by Snape." That was just too perfect! XD

Great job! I loved it! I'll try to read more later today. Have a cookie! :D

    Author's Response:

Sev is really powerful. He just has that powerful air about him, and the guy survived being a spy for years. That alone should show he's a powerful wizard.

I don't know if he was mad at Flurry, perhaps a bit more jealous than mad. lol. ;)

Severus knew Harry wasn't just normal sick, but sick sick. He just didn't know what it was. I think any adult that wasn't a right jerk would try not to worry a child in that circumstance because it could turn out to be nothing or something minor. Not to mention that if a child even an older teen sees an adult worried, the child will pick up on that.

I'm happy to hear you liked that line. It is so something that Harry would think.

    Yay, I get a cookie!

You're watching Tolkien!?!?! NO FAIR!! I'm stuck studying for a psychology exam :( Oh, but at least you get to enjoy the program. And go ahead and tell Sev I said he was cute, I'm not afraid! *totally bluffing*

But HA! Harry's acting like a drunk with that potion! *giggles* That must be good stuff. Maybe I could have some...? lol Not, I can't drink that, I need to work...unfortunately *grumble* But that scene was classic Snape! :D Too bad Harry had to go and fall to ruin Snape's threat. HA!

Aww! Sev's such a sweety, isn't he! A big ol' prikly teady bear! XD I loved the line when he "refused to tuck in James Potter's son" and that whole schpeel. That was great. And HAHAHA! The vampire thing was hilarious! I literally burst out laughing. (good thing my roomate wasn't in ^-^)

Snape with the kitty was just. so. gosh. darn. CUTE! But I felt so bad when he said that his cat liked Harry more then him...actually, my own cat is kinda like Flurry, but his name's Viktor and he's gray and white, and boy could I use Snape to teach me that de-lint spell!

And oh no, here comes Dumbles to start something. But I'm with Sev on the lemon tarts. I only really like lemonade and these weird girl scout lemon cookies. But lemon tarts always look so good, but they just never taste good to me...*ramble ramble*

Oh, and I like the "Potter puzzle" XD Nice aliteration! And now Sev's interested and he's gunna find something out about Harry, and he's gunna start to feel bad for him and he already in a twisted, denile, kinda way likes him, and, and...I'll stop now.

Sorry for the crzy long review. I'm just trying to hold off on studying for another minute or so. But this was great and I love Snape with his cat! XD So cute! Ten points to you for that!

    Author's Response:

It wasn't as interesting as I had hoped. *sighs* Not one mention of Legolas or Thranduil the whole hour! It was Frodo this and Frodo that. Yes, I'm biased when it comes to the elves. lol. They're my favorite part of Tolkien's whole mythology. Well at least that meant I didn't have to complain about the "actor" they chose to represent Legolas that way.

Good luck on your psych exam. I love psychology, especially abnormal psychology. Although you're probably still on the boring theories and histories. Blah. That's not the fun stuff. ;)

Harry just can't listen to Snape, even when it comes to something as simple as returning to Gryffindor Tower. lol. I'm sure Snape wasn't amused. I'm glad to hear you literally burst out laughing. Remember that because you'll need Kleenex later on.

My cat doesn't like anybody. Well, most of the time anyway. Her name is Roxie and she's a very pretty tortoiseshell and white cat, but she's mean and bites. lol. Although, she's become more mellow and actually jealous since we've gotten our puppy.

Dumbledore is there to start something though he'll have more to say later on... Sev is interested and you'll be surprised with what he finds.

Yay, I get ten points! Thanks!
