Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Author's Response: Ups and downs is right. Harry's starting to get a taste of what his life will be like for a while. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm happy to hear that you like the light moments mixed in with the emotional stuff. It can't be depressing and emotional the whole time, or otherwise it would emotionally wear you guys out.
Precautions? List after list of do's and don'ts that will attempt to keep him as healthy as possible through this procedure. Food, cleanliness, meds, etc. Poor boy and Poor Sev. I'm glad he has Sev though, He'll need him. V. Author's Response: He is burnt out emotionally at the moment. As for the precautions, you're right to a point, but you only took into account the second part of the next chapter's title... Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! Of course you can have a lollipop and a tissue. Even the man known as the greasy git can't act horribly towards a sick child. Sev does have a heart buried deep somewhere. ;)
I hope Sev will be able to help Harry pick up his pieces in the next chapter...and yes the chemo injection >_< will he still trust his new found ally...I hope so. Yes I am still depressed and after remembering about the chemo shot I'm anxious now too! >_< I want to give Harry MANY big hugs. Candy is fine it'll make me happy tissue would remind me I could get sick any time soon if I don't go to sleep soon lol! Author's Response: Harry's a very confused and sick child at the moment, and it'll take a while before he all his issues are sorted out. We'll see if Harry trusts Sev after the chemo injection soon. I'm not quite sure how that's going to play out yet. Thanks!
The whole comfort scene was amazing! I'm really glad he's starting to recognize that he feels safe around Sev. I think it'll take a while, though, before he fully believes that Snape won't leave him. He's spent his entire life without an adult that he could rely on for everything, and now that he has one, it's going to take some time for it to completely sink in that Severus is there to stay. Yet another wonderful chapter! I'm sorry I wasn't around the other night. I'll be sending you an email to explain. Author's Response: Thanks! It'll take a while before he fully believes Sev won't leave him. He'll need to be reminded quite a few times.
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed my story. Sev and Harry's relationship will continue to develop and their interaction will reflect that.
Two small quibbles: "Professor Snape is a professional, Harry. He won't let his feelings towards you effect the procedure," ("Effect" should be "affect".) Also, this sentence is grammatically confusing: "Harry just didn't like needles they gave him the creeps." I suspect it is either: "Harry just didn't like needles. They gave him the creeps." or: Harry didn't just 'not like' needles; they gave him the creeps." Those were two spots that I stumbled over when reading... Otherwise, the story is drawing me in! Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad to hear the story is drawing you in and welcome to my little corner of P&S. Effect vs. affect. Ugh. That's like the one I always get confused, and I tend to be a grammar freak so it drives me crazy. I know that one's a verb and one's a noun, but *sighs* if only Word could be a little bit smarter. It's the second one. Thanks. I read so fast that sometimes little awkward bits like that just don't hit me because by the time my brain processes it, my eyes are taking in the next sentence. I hope you continue on.
Author's Response: Well, whatever works. Tissue, paper towel, though tissues are a bit softer. ;) Thanks! |
