But then there was this weird shadowy King there, who said that the wings were an important symbol of my position in society. seems pretty straightforward madame pomfrey is a human who things of fae as unnatural and thinks tobias should try to fit in; snape and dumbledore want to use him while keeping him hidden; the unseelie king thinks he should be proud and show off /all/ that he is alternatively, the unseelie king thinks of him as a showpiece and the wings are part of that you could interpret the dream as everyone wanting to change or use him make him normal, use his otherness, use him as a symbol

haven’t finished the chapter but sincerely hoping harry hangs onto the letter for a little while so they think he’s further away than he actually is also i have no idea if they have the ability to put a tracking charm on a letter and just haven’t yet or what but if they can harry doesn’t know enough to avoid it mostly i’m concerned about telling them the radius from their location by sending it back right away even smarter would be hanging onto it for different lengths of time, so it seems like he’s on the move they surely know the average time for a letter to go from hogwarts to diagon and back, and i don’t think there’s anything else with that distance from hogwarts that’s a place a wix can live
you know the person might not report him but if the unseelie court does another sweep and specifically asks i doubt the little fae would feel it's safe to lie harry i wish you'd gotten it somewhere they wouldn't see markings idk if he has markings on his ankles but i was thinking that might work you know harry's a dumbass but he's also fifteen so hm the child is pretty distinctive i wonder if there are glamors or charms or whatever to hide the baby only? safer that way in general too in case he gets attacked nobody will be going straight for her |
