An absolutely excellent chapter!
I really like how Harry is slowly changing his opinions, albeit slowly, of the other Slytherins, and I very much admire the way you propose how Snape acts as a head of house. He might be a grouchy git, but he takes far better care of his students than I've seen Minerva take of the Gryffindors. I mean, it never sat well with me that she praised Harry and rewarded him for breaking the rules in that first flying class by getting him on the Gryffindor team as a First Year when First Years aren't even supposed to bring a broom of their own to school. She KNEW that he was raised without any contact with the magical world. You'd think that with all the concern she showed when Dumbldore dumped Harry on the Dursleys' doorstep, she'd have shown more care of Harry when he finally did get into the Wizarding World.
Er... sorry about the soapbox. In summary, I really love this story, and no matter how long the wait between the chapters. They are always worth it! Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks for your review! No need to apologize "about the soapbox", I really enjoy it if readers share their thoughts with me!
AWESOME CHAPTER!
Really, I like your story so far, and can't wait for the next update :)
good one
This story is worth the wait. I really like it. I know how hard it is to write chapters to stories, I have several stories on fanfiction.net. Keep up the good work and please update ASAP. :)
Good story... waiting to know whats next... post faster...:) :)

Personally I don't think the students should be sorted at least until either 4th-5th years. Instead allow the younger students to freely associate with each other regardless of houses. So that the students are instead sorted by year, and there definitely should be a "wizard studies" complusory class for all muggleborn & muggle-raised students.

I can't help but wonder just how Minerva, Severus would judge Harry's actions if they knew exactly "why" he sneaked into the Slytherin common room? It just goes to show, that if the adults actually told Harry, the truth about Sirius Black and his connection to his parents deaths, he probably wouldn't have sneaked into Slytherin common room...hmm.

Wow! I'm so totally hooked on this so tantalising first chapter of this story! I can hardly wait to find out just what Harry will learn in the Slytherin common room....and if he will manage to escape undetected or not!
I love this! I read the entire thing this evening, and I am enjoying all of the character development you have going on! I love the idea you used to get Harry into Slytherin. I also like how you've worked in a few important events from POA into this, such as the Marauders map!
I'm loving this story. I like how you're giving the Slytherins proper characters, while not forgetting Harry's friends and it should be interesting to see what Harry makes of the various learning opportunities being presented to him. The only trouble is I want more of the story already, but I suppose I shouldn't be greedy!
Hey, that was fun! Look forward to more :)
