    As a student I often daydreamed about turning the first potion class as you did. But I never really achieved it. Now I'm not frustrated anymore!
    Bravo for your snape : not too kind, not too bad,just like he would have been if it really happen in the book.

    This scenario was niggling at the back of my mind ever since I saw the potions class scene in the first film - I love the books, but somehow it's Alan Rickman's acting that brought Snape alive for me. Thank you for reviewing!

    Loved this story :) It kept Snape completely in character, something you hardly see these days anymore, and I would love to see a follow-on of some degree in in the future.

    Great little story ^^ I especially liked your parallels between cooking and Potions. Good job :D

Cooking and potions are rather alike, and I always wondered why Harry seemed to have such a hard time with it (in the books), after getting so much practice at the Dursleys. (Might have something to do with Snape's less-than-encouraging teaching methods...) Thanks for reviewing!

    Awww... A beautifully written story which I sincerely hope you'll continue. I loved your depiction of Harry and the way in which you described his thoughts. The character interaction felt very natural and I loved the ending; methinks Snape is using the word 'detention' to mean 'advanced potions class' lol!

    Cool! I hope you will make it into a longer story! I loved the characters of Harry and Snape as portrayed in this story and hope to see more of them.

    Yay! That was such a sweet one-shot! hehe, Harry Potter, the potions genius. i wonder what this means for Harry's dueling skills and DADA though. Will he end up being as good? Nicely done. Thank you for sharing it!

    Author's Response: Thank you! I think if Harry can overcome his distrust of magic, he'll end up being quite good... although Hermione won't like it if Harry's better than her at *two* subjects, not just DADA. Glad you enjoyed it!
