Damn Dumbledore and his meddling! One has to wonder how he can trust Snape to be a spy for the light, but not as a suitable care taker for Harry. Having Harry suggest he stay with the Grangers is brilliant. I can't wait to see how Dumbles tries to get around that one.

Wow, the Durlsey's are truly in for it now. I hope that Dudley grows up in the next couple of years and the curse breaks. great chapter. I loved hearing the conversation between Snape and the Headmaster. Snape yelling seemed so in character. Loved the talk between Harry and Snape afterward, and how Snape said that the best place for Harry was at his place.

That's downright creative. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. It's a shame that Harry and Severus won't get a chance to develop a relationship.

"Injustices did not happen in a vacuum... Now they would suffer the consequences of each other’s actions on the boy as well." So does this mean that if Dumbledore knew about the abuse then he would also suffer from the curse? The curse would lead one to know how much he truly knew and ignored or, worse yet, actively encouraged. I generally like Dumbledore, but some of his actions/decisions are questionable.
Author's Response: That's a nice thought, isn't it? But no, since Snape cast the curse physically on the Dursleys and Dumbledore was not present. But, one must wonder, did Dumbledore have a copy of Lily's will and never release it? Maybe that's why Lily sent a copy of her will to her sister; because surely she didn't want Harry to end up with the Dursleys and she'd assumed that if someone tried to palce Harry there, Petunia would have a copy of Lily's will which would allow Harry to be placed elsewhere. Just a thought.

Great curse! Best punishment for the Dursleys I have ever seen in fanfiction.
Aw no! So Harry can't stay with Snape. That's too bad. I think that Harry would be better off with Snape than the Grangers personally. at least Snape could protect harry.
I'm anxious to see what happens next.
