    I love it, it was a great ending! it leaves a lot of promise while putting a nice close to their two weeks. I hope you write the sequel!

    Well it does seem to abruptly end with the story feeling very unfinished. There is one major question, How did Hermione put up wards when she cannot do magic over the summer and would have received a warning just like Harry between fourth-fifth year for even trying? She wouldn't have even tried, fearing expulsion, after finding out they were not allowed to do magic over the summer after first year!

    I added some information to the chapter to make it more clear. Since the Dark Lord has now been acknowledged to have returned from the dead, Hermione petitioned the Ministry for special permission to put up wards around her house since she's Muggleborn and Voldemort is known to target Muggleborns.

    It almost seems as if Harry, thinks that the Order only want him safe because he's the-boy-who-lived and its his job to off Voldemort! Harry's also never once been told that his life is of value or that his safety matters - I mean from an adult who he knows cares for Harry and not "Harry Potter, boy-who-lived"! Its a little wonder that Harry's angry, that things about his life or his wants are ignored - he does seem to want an adult in his life, that he can depend upon & trust. Perhaps also because of how his hogwarts letter was addressed, Harry might believe that the staff knew but did nothing. Why didn't any of the staff, notice that Harry was always thinner after the summer holidays, and that he's the smallest in his year & that he never went home for christmas or received mail from home....so I think he has good reason to angry at the staff as none of them noticed!!

    This is a fine place to end it, although it does have a rather large sequel hook!

    Interesting ending. There is only one catch - how could Hermione do spell work when she can't do magic outside of Hogwarts?

    I'm already looking forward the sequel =o)

    Author's Response: Ooohhhh, good catch. Hmm.... I'm going to say that Hermione applied for special permission from the Ministry to enact wards around her home. :-)
