I love your story. Was incredibly grateful that the update from the last chapter came so swiftly. The way you portray Harry feeling is just so realistic and clear. And on a side-note, both the 'mood song' and quotes fit really well.
Anyway, it is stories like this one that keep me reading fanfiction. Great story.

Sweet and full of angst simulataneously. I love the humanity that the Malfoys showed Harry; it's just too sad that others couldn't see that Harry was still Harry regardless of his parentage. I hoping for a happily-ever-after for the two Snapes and a little "look at me now" revenge for Harry by the time the next school year begins. This is a different lovely story. Thanks

Harry seems a bit needy, but overall, a decent start.

"There had been no funeral or memorial service, nor had there been any mourners."

This is the worst condemnation a person can receive. Bravo for Severus realizing it and deciding to do something before the same could be said of him.

This story has really caught me. Excellent work.

I like how you capture that peculiar "I've made up my mind, so I feel better" that is common in suicidal people.

Probably, from the outside, it looked like Harry was starting to take an interest in things again (showing up for class etc). The assumption by people who aren't aware of how depression and suicidality can look would be that he was just coming out of it gradually.

I also like that Draco gets it when Harry gives him his Firebolt without needing to see the note.

The fall from the tower made my stomach turn over. Good catch, Severus!

    Author's Response:

Yeah, I'm a psych major and we learned about this is psychology class, but then also becasue of various campus jobs I've held I was required to take 4 or 5 different suicide prevention seminars.  They really covered symptoms well so that we knew what to look out for in other people.  Giving away prized possessions, feeling relief once the choice of when and how to do it is made, etc.

    Thanks for the review.

    Very, very good!
I hope you give hell to Ron and Hermione for not trying hard enough.
