I like how you capture that peculiar "I've made up my mind, so I feel better" that is common in suicidal people.
Probably, from the outside, it looked like Harry was starting to take an interest in things again (showing up for class etc). The assumption by people who aren't aware of how depression and suicidality can look would be that he was just coming out of it gradually.
I also like that Draco gets it when Harry gives him his Firebolt without needing to see the note.

Author's Response: Yeah, I'm a psych major and we learned about this is psychology class, but then also becasue of various campus jobs I've held I was required to take 4 or 5 different suicide prevention seminars. They really covered symptoms well so that we knew what to look out for in other people. Giving away prized possessions, feeling relief once the choice of when and how to do it is made, etc.
