    Interesting chapter though there is a part that doesn't seem very logical to me. Pure-bloods having no problem with homosexuals doesn't quite seam right if they believe in continuing the family line (even if that continuing is an illusion). Given how infertility problems are among pure-bloods, I think they their attitude towards homosexuals would be like how the attitude was in the real world decades ago.

    However, people who can change their sex at will (Polyjuice will do it temporarily, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear there were spells to do it permanently) and have relations with non-human people (Veela, giants, goblins) are very likely to be less concerned with same gender couples. 

    I'm sure individuals (especially only sons) do get quite a bit of pressure from their families, but there is no bar to a same sex couples adopting, in the Wizarding World. And given that their inheritance rights are right out of the the 16th Century, adoptive heirs are still heirs. Especially if the adoptive parent has some blood tie to the child. Another skeleton in the closet of the Wizarding World, is how often children are used as bargaining chips in family fueds.

     There are no Wizard orphanages. Yet, there are always going to be orphans (especially after the last war). So, I can only conclude that children usually find someone to take them in. 

    Anyway, that's my logic.

    "Love can't exist without duty. Without responsibility, it's just a greeting card sentiment." Very true, and beautifully put. You also did a good job of illustrating how a very different society might have different ideas about abortion, without getting tendentious on either side. Good chapter. My only complaint is that, as usual, I wanted it to keep going.

    Wow. What a great chapter!

    I loved the dream sequence, especially since Harry's questions followed so closely to Neville's. Considering the rest of the chapter, it's nice to see that both pure-blood and half-blood child was surprised by Severus' actions.

    Considering how backward the wizarding world is in so many ways, I can see how a sentence of life in Azkaban could be decreed for an abortion. As I once told my brother-in-law, family is integral to the witches and wizards in the HP world.

    I had no problem whatsoever with this chapter. And it helped to answer some questions. Keep up the great work!

    Petunia is a sick, sick woman! Poor Harry :(.

    At first I was amused by Mrs. Cook's confusion to Severus and Remus's relationship. After hearing about Tobias, however, I can see that it bothered Severus greatly.

    I promise not to debate. However, I really think there should be mandatory muggle studies classes for purebreds. Because they are idiots about the values, concerns, and biases that muggleborns, and even half-bloods, are raised with; just as muggle-borns and halfbloods raised in the muggle world should have mandatory wizarding studies classes.

    Great chapter! I cannot wait to see Severus obliverate Ms. Cook. Remus needs a muzzle in the mean time.....
