Why do I get the feeling that Severus will wake to a full English breakfast in the morning? Poor Harry probably thinks that Severus' mention of cooking was an assignment of duty for him. Great chapter!
OOHhh this is getting good!
I am really rather enjoying this story. I do hope you feel better as soon as possible! Kidney stones are no fun.

The chapter before with Molly getting in Dumbledore's face, was particularly strong. I find this whole story heart wrenching and oddly cathartic. I imagine it must be difficult to write at times. Excellent work.
I hope you're okay!! I really really hope that you feel better soon! Don't worry about the story, I enjoyed reading this chapter! Please update soon! And get better!
I like the sound of Sev's kitchen! Cannot wait to read how those two relationship develops further and if Remus ever hears Poppy's home truths.

I hope you feel better soon. Your health before updates!
My husband has had several stones in the years I've known him. All were nasty, but a couple were worse than that. After one surgery, he had persistent severe pain which the surgeon pooh-poohed. The eejit had left one stone in, as we learned days later at the ER. So, if you have significant pain for days after the removal of your stones, please go to your doctor (if she or he is dependable) or an ER immediately.
I am enjoying your story immensely. The character interaction is believable, and the medical information makes sense for this story-universe. Thank you for not giving us near-instantaeous healing of people who go through a traumatic medical event.

I really loved this chapter, even though most of the chapter was pretty low key. The last section, where Harry and Snape go to Spinners End, was especially good. I liked it being very understated, with Harry clearly noticing all the muggle aspects of the house and Snape not seeming to notice Harry noticing the fact that the light switches, fridge, telephone, etc. were muggle.
I have a feeling that Snape is about to find out things about Harry that he never thought possible.
I'm glad that Snape has taken Harry with him. I didn't want him to go to the Weasleys. He should be with his father. This is interesting though. I can't wait till the next chapter to see how this all plays out with Sirius and Remus and Harry and Snape. It should be exciting!
Great chappie.
