I like the interaction between Harry and Severus. It's still very awkward with neither of them knowing how to deal with the changes in their relationship and perceptions of each other. Poor Harry, what a blow to realize that the Dursleys did receive money to care for him, but that they still denied him so many basic necessities.
I'm so glad that Harry's patched things up with his friends. Hopefully, that will help him to resist those suicidal thoughts.

Great chapter, Paganaidd! Of course the guardianship is hitting Harry hard now. It's so sad that he's afraid to ask questions and that Severus doesn't realize it.
It was a sad scene with Harry and Hermione, but real and necessary. They were both so in-character. Hermione's sense of responsibility is so strong that she's willing to do the right thing, no matter how difficult it is. I'm glad that Harry realized that she only did it because she cares so much for him.
It's also sad that Harry is blaming himself for the way the Dursleys abused him (saying that they hadn't had it in for him from the very beginning, that it was his fault for messing up). Poor kid, I do hope Severus can help him to see that that isn't true.

Gah! Harry has GOT to do something about Ginny!!! She's obviously going to coming suicide or some other ridiculous action. She's saying her GOODBYES! People can't seriously be ignoring her and missing all the signs that something is wrong like they did the last year. Doesn't anyone pay any attention? PLEASE have Harry or someone notice and intercede before something horrible happens!!!

I blew past your story for a few weeks not interested by the summary. This morning it was near the top of the list again and I thought " well, it seems to be updated fairly regularly and none of the other stories I am watching are, I'll take a peek." LOVE it! Very believable and well written. Two burning questions though, first; Why is Ginny suicidal?! She shows all the signs and giving away prized possessions is perhaps one of the final acts before the attempt... hmm maybe you will let Snuffles save her... the other question I of course woll have to wait and see but am going to ask anyway ... will Snape decide to keep Harry? Love your story and thanks for the update!
